Elevating your standards can impact your life. For purposes of this video, we're going to relate elevating standards to a thermometer and the temperature. Are your standards. Let me explain. Thermostats are usually at a certain temperature and in. If it becomes really hot outside, then the thermostat works harder to come back to its level, right? Like to the number that it was set on. And if it becomes really cold outside, then it works out to warm up the area so that it can go up to the original temperature. And we as human beings are like thermostats in that we have a standard for success, for love, for abundance, for finances. And when we operate at that standard and that level, usually when something changes outside of us, we work hard to level it up and come back to our standards. So, for example, a person who always has just enough money may have a new job or new opportunities, projects, and make a ton of money, or they can even win the lottery. And that doesn't make them more abundant. That's the equivalent of a cold front, right? Like where a lot of something came to their lives, a lot of money. In this case, a cold front means that it's colder than usually. And that just means that the person or the thermostat is going to work harder to go back to its level. So it doesn't matter how much more love we receive, how much more money, how much more success, we're always going to find the way to sabotage that and bring ourselves back to our norm. What happens with that is that if you're looking to grow in abundance, whether it's in love or success or money, then you shouldn't be adding more of something. Instead, you should be elevating your temperature. You should be changing your thermostat and your standard. And in order to do that, you get to rewire your brain and reprogram your limiting beliefs and let go of those that don't serve you. So that you may think like the kind of person who can, instead of just having enough, have more than you know what to do with, have more money than you know what to do with, have more love than you know what to do with, have more success than you know what to do with. But we don't realize that the answers are not outside of us. The answers are within. So if you find yourself in a position where you're single and you know you can't find love and love wasn't for you, and what you believe is just that, that you know you're lucky in money, and you're lucky in success. So then love is not for you because in your mind you get only two of the three. Or if you're a person who is lucky in love and is successful in purpose but is constantly struggling for money, you should ask yourself what about your thermostat you need to elevate? How can you change your standards? How will a person who has more than she knows what to do with act and start acting that way, start becoming and being and stepping into that identity of someone who has more that she knows what to do with and who always lives in a state of abundance. So I invite you to reflect on what areas of your life you feel that you're constantly self sabotaging or you're constantly unfulfilled in and ask yourself what are my beliefs about that? How am I contributing to leveraging and to always like bringing my standard my temperature back to what I'm used to, to what's familiar to what's habitual? How are you doing that to yourself? And what are those limiting beliefs and ideas that you get to update and upgrade to become your best self? And if you need a little guidance in figuring out how to do that, we're happy to support you at betterwithbetsy. Com. And don't forget to share, subscribe and like this video.
