How To Create A Life Worth Dying For

Betsy Guerra talks about building a life so fulfilling you'd call it heaven on earth. She reframes pain and grief as part of healing, not permanent states, and argues that giving your life to God, loving yourself, and finding purpose lets you experience peace and joy now instead of waiting until death.

Today's video is on how to live a life worth dying for. On my birthday this year, I was thinking, I'm ready to die. And that may sound a little morbid and weird, like, betsy, suicidal, what's going on? But quite the opposite. We tend to think, like, oh, I want to go to heaven, but I don't want to die. And my purpose for thinking I'm ready to die was that I realized that I live in my destination, which is heaven. I live on heaven on earth, which is pretty amazing. So let me tell you what that means. I always say that pain, grief, discomfort is the path, never the destination. When we're grieving, when we're in pain, when we're suffering, we're in. In progress. We're in our en route to where we're meant to be, which is heaven. A place of joy, a place of fulfillment, a place of peace and happiness, bliss. And I was thinking, like, I don't want to wait till I die to go there. I want to live a life that feels like the destination. I want to live a heavenly life. And in doing so, I constantly try to make sure that the life I imagine heaven would look like is twins with the life I live now. And part of that is I live in purpose. I give myself to others, but never at my cost. I honor, I love myself as well. I welcome God to every moment of my life because I know that whatever moments we give to God, he's going to bless. And I find myself going to sleep. And instead of stressing out about what's going on in my life, I can't sleep because I'm so excited and grateful for my life. And I literally am in bed like, oh, my gosh, this is my life. I live in heaven. And you guys, my life wasn't free of pain. My life wasn't free of grief. Many of you know I am the chosen mother of an angel. My daughter died. A lot of people can't overcome that. But when you have God in your life, when you have hope, when you live in heaven, you know how to rise above anything, because you know that's not your destination. That's only the path. And the path and the process are meant to heal us and. And evolve us and help us rise into what we were created to be. So where are you right now? What kind of pain are you going through? You get to reframe that as the path, as the healing journey for you to become what you're meant to become. And I want to invite you to reflect on your life to reflect on what's missing and seek God in it so that you may be filled with his grace and his peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding, even while you're in the middle of it. Just reflect on it all and welcome God into your life and let him guide you and support you. And if you want to know how to do just this, keep watching my videos and I'll teach you some practical resources and tools that you can use to get there. But for now, just know that you can live in heaven right now. You don't have to wait for your life to pass by you before getting there.
