Anxiety is what you feel when you're trying to control something that you have no power over, which is almost everything. The only thing you have control over is you, what you choose to think, feel and believe. So anxiety is something we're inevitably going to experience at some point. And the antidote to anxiety is surrender. What is surrender? Surrender is letting go of the power you never had. So think about it as driving a car. You're driving, you're going somewhere, it's important to you but it's stressful because there's traffic and there's a lot of external situations that are making you feel overwhelmed. Surrender is when you let God take the wheel and drive you there and you just sit and chill on the passenger seat. And in order to practice surrender, you get to write a list and write all the things you want to give to God and stop worrying about it because worrying means that you're trying to drive. Let the dude drive.
