Today I will share the three secrets that helped me overcome the loss of my daughter. When I came home from the hospital without my daughter and I tried to go to sleep that night, I woke up and I found myself on the bathroom floor of my daughter in fetal position, rocking back and forth and wanting to tear my thoughts out of my mind and feeling like I didn't know how to deal with this. And my husband woke up and found me there. And when I looked at his eyes, he had this look of, I'm not the psychologist. What do I do? I wasn't trained for this. But you're not trained for pain. You're not trained for loss. However, there are things that, regardless of your profession, you can have to be able to overcome loss and pain. And the three things that come to mind immediately to me are faith, community, and my favorite concept in psychology, reframing. I am a woman of faith. I believe in God. I believe in myself. I believe in you. You. I believe in the process. And I believe that I can get to the places that I want to, even though I have no idea of how I'm going to do that. And I just want you to have faith in God, in the universe, in the electric power, whatever you believe in, that you are not alone, that there's somebody bigger and greater than you, guiding you, accompanying you, carrying you through this. But I also want you to have faith in where you want to be and what you want to do. You may not know how to get there, but if you have faith that it is possible, everything will line up for you to be able to manifest that. Have faith in yourself, have faith in the process, and have faith in what you want to accomplish. The second one is community. The people that you surround yourself with, your support group are really important if they bring you down. If they're negative, Nancy's Keep those at an arm's length and surround yourself by people that are aligned with what you believe in and what you want to accomplish. I wanted to be happy again. So I surrounded myself by happy people and by people of faith that believed that I was capable of accomplishing that joy again. And they helped me. Whenever I didn't have faith, they had faith for me. They gave me the hope that I needed at every minute of this process. The last one is reframing. Reframing is when you change the perspective with which you're looking at something into a more positive one. So if something feels really crappy, you can tell yourself, oh, this is. This is a learning process. This is a character building day I'm being fertilized like a plant so that I can grow stronger. Change the perspective. Your subconscious mind believes whatever you tell it. And and if the things you're telling it is like my life sucks, it's going to create very sad emotions, anxiety, depression. But if you tell yourself I got this, this is just a way of learning I'm going to be great in just a few minutes this is going to pass, I'm going to look back and this is going to be a great story one day you tell yourself that the emotions that you're going to create are different. So have faith, surround yourself by the right people and change the perspective and that will change the way that you and you overcome this.
