There is a difference between surrendering and giving up. If you want to know more, keep watching. I am a recovering control freak. And as such I've always wanted to have control of everything. To do things, to work for what I want to, to reach higher, to go for the next step. And part of having control is feeling that you are the one in charge of getting things done. But I realized that sometimes in life we can't have control of everything. And I guess the biggest lesson of that was losing my daughter. I was a psycho mom. I was always on top of my kids, always paying attention. I was a non laid back mom. The complete opposite. In fact, I was criticized a lot by it. And most of you know that my daughter died in a pool accident. And as soon as I moved to that house, I put her in survival classes. I controlled that. I put her in swimming classes. She never missed one. I was, I was a hands on mom. And I couldn't control keeping my daughter alive. And that's when I learned that there is a difference between surrendering and giving up. I didn't give up on taking care of my daughter. I didn't give up on taking care of my other children. I don't give up in life. But. But sometimes I have to surrender because what happens is out of my control. And this happens on a regular basis, every day. Sometimes we have an amazing goal or a dream, or an image of how things are going to play out. And when they don't, especially when they involve other people, we are disappointed and frustrated and. And we keep pushing and pushing and pushing because we want to get it our way. Our way is the way, right? Not. We have an inner wisdom. Some people say that's part of your divinity, your spirit. Others call it enlightenment. But there's wisdom within us. And many times our inner voice speaks to us and tells us, stop doing that. Just give up on that particular goal. It's not good for you. Change the course. Go this way. That person's not for you. And we are so stuck in being a control freak and not giving up. Because we think that's giving up. That we don't realize that that's our inner wisdom speaking to us or God or the universe. Call it what you will, but that's the voice that directs you. That's your inner gps. And it never fails. When you've done everything in your power and things are still not going the way you wanted them to, that's a sign that it's time to be still and surrender. And you just wait for the next step. That's not giving up. There is a big difference between giving up and surrendering. If this was helpful, please remember to like and subscribe and share with somebody that needs to hear these words.
