A short YouTube monologue (by Betsy Guerra) arguing that political or personal disagreements need not lead to hatred or estrangement. The speaker uses personal family examples—parents who are divorced but maintain daily communication and shared celebrations, and a current husband (Don) who accepts the blended-family arrangement—to show how love and care can persist across disagreement.

You don't have to hate the person you disagree with. People. It's happening now, Republicans and Democrats. Families don't talk. And Thanksgiving is like World War 3. It doesn't have to be that way. We can disagree and still care about each other, love each other. And my children have learned that better than any kids I know because their father and I are divorced. We have never had a Thanksgiving apart, a birthday apart. I talk to him every single day, sometimes not even about the kids, because we grew up together since we were in our 20s. And my husband, Don, my current husband and my forever husband, he had to accept this. It's part of my package, and I only would have it that way. So it's not like I thought, oh, self, let's be graceful. Let's aspire. You know, let's go read the Torah. No, sadly, that's not what happened. But I did want it to go a certain way. I didn't want it to be the way it was for me or for so many other kids.
