In this brief podcast segment, Betsy Guerra challenges the common church practice of treating God as an external being to be worshipped and spoken to from a distance. She argues that God actually resides within each person, emphasizing an internal, personal experience of the divine. Guerra cites Father Richard Rohr’s book The Universal Christ to support this view, explaining that the term “Christ” does not merely refer to Jesus’ surname but signifies God’s love for humanity. The core message is that recognizing God’s presence inside us reframes how believers understand and relate to Christ.
