Betsy Guerra (therapist and coach-trainer with over 20 years’ experience) delivers a short motivational message arguing that fear and faith are mutually exclusive and that individuals should choose faith. She frames fear as a temporary, protective tool (not a lifestyle) and presents faith—trusting God’s guidance without needing to see the path—as the healing, enabling stance that permits personal growth and accomplishment. She cites the Bible’s repeated injunctions to "fear not" (noting 365 occurrences) and closes with a call to share and visit her website.

You've heard this whole faith over fear. Why? Why do we need to choose faith over fear? As a therapist who has been in practice for over 20 years and someone who trains life coaches to do what I do, I have seen time and time again how detrimental fear is to your life, to your mental health, and to your spirituality. Fear and faith cannot coexist. They're mutually exclusive. They're opposites. So you have to choose one. And if you choose fear, you're choosing fear as a lifestyle. Fear was meant to alert us of dangers, to let us know, like, whoa, something's coming up, something's happening. Take the take action precautions, do something about this. Fear is a tool. It's not a lifestyle. And when we choose fear because it's mutually exclusive from faith, then we're not choosing faith. And faith is what's healing. Faith is what allows us to accomplish anything in life and reach our greatness. Because when you have faith, you don't need to see the possibility. You don't need to know how to do the thing that you're trying to accomplish. You just need to believe it's possible. Faith is a complete trust and confidence in something. And I assure you that when you have faith in what you are looking to accomplish or where you're headed, it doesn't matter if you know how to get there or not. It's scary. It is scary to not know. But when you believe, when you trust fully, you also believe that God has your back. He's the one taking care of you. He's the one guiding you. And he will hold your hand and take you there. All you have to do is follow without fear. In the Bible, it says 365 times, fear not, do not fear. Do not be afraid. Fear doesn't come from God. So why faith over fear? Because fear doesn't come from God. Because fear is a tool, not a lifestyle. And because fear and faith cannot coexist. And you get to choose faith.
