Kids act out because they can't process their emotions, not because they're bad. Teachers want to help but lack time. Schools need dedicated coaches on-site to work through feelings with students before problems spiral.
Chapters
The behavior issues are children who have suppressed emotions. They have things that they don't know how to process. And then teachers are too busy. It's not that they don't want to. It's that they're just too busy. Administrators are too busy. Parents are too busy. So how cool would it be if there were coaches on site that could be there to process these things with the kids? I really feel strongly that if we make that a priority in schools, not just parochial schools, obviously the faith for me is number one. But anywhere, if these kids had someone that they could go to that just focused on processing the things that they're going through, which is a lot right now, we lessen the amount of mental health issues in schools.
