All right, so here's what we're doing. I've always noticed there's a, a, uh, black vulture or two that like to hang out over here. I didn't know why until today when I was just looking around with Ace. I discovered that they're here. I don't know if you can see them down there. They live in there, and right there are two eggs. I'm trying to get a little closer. You can see there's two eggs right there. They live, they're always in there and they're sitting on their eggs. I'll put a trail cam right here. I'm going to leave them alone now. But anyway, I think that within 30 days we're gonna have two baby black vultures here. That's awesome. Happy Saturday, February 8th. It is about 80, it's gonna be like 81 degrees today and sunny here in Central Texas. So, uh, today I'm I'm going to get back on the rock hammer. I did get it up and running this week, uh, had somebody show me how to put nitrogen in there, so we've got that up and running. And we're gonna do some rock breaking today, some grading, put some more mill down, and we'll see what else we get into. All right, we're adding, uh, adding some diesel to the JCB. I did the hydraulic fluid, topped it off yesterday, topped off the oil yesterday. We greased it last week, so we're good to go. Okay, I finished with the asphalt milling, uh, so next I've got some crushed concrete that I'm going to try to lay down. I got one load. I'm gonna get 4 or 5 more if I like it. And, uh, it's supposedly when it gets wet it gets really hard and doesn't wash. So we're gonna give that a shot. All right, taking a break from the driveway. Actually, I'm not taking a break from the driveway. I have finished the driveway. I spent about 4 hours on the driveway today. I moved about 25 tons of asphalt and, uh, mixed up like chopped up concrete. Got it all smooth, looking pretty good now. We're back on the chicken coop. What we're going to do today is— there's the door where they come out. We're going to add an automatic chicken door that opens when the sun comes up, closes when the sun goes down. And what I've learned about chickens— I did not know this— is that chickens have a natural instinct to get— go hide when it's dark because they know they're low on the food chain. So when it— before it gets dark, they all go in. It gets dark, the door closes. So we're going to give this a shot. Chicken door. So the first thing we did is we got a piece of cardboard and made a template for the holes that I have to drill. All right, we finished the chicken coop door yesterday, but I really haven't mounted anything yet. It got so late in the evening, uh, the sun was too far that way, and today it's like 20 degrees colder. Yesterday was like 82, today it's 50, uh, almost 30 degrees, and there's no sun. So I didn't really know where to put the solar panel because I don't come back over here much. So we'll do that at another time. But the door, I did check it, it closed last night, and you can— it closes and opens with the sun. But you can see The door is closing and it will open. So you can do it manual, or you can do it based on the, uh, the time of day, or you can just set it for dusk to dawn. Anyway, got it all working, looking good. All right, here's Ace, Ace's ball. That's how I keep him occupied. All right, what I'm getting ready to do, I got some trees that I took down the other day. Chainsaw, I'm gonna cut this little— it's a little wood. I'm gonna cut it up, stack it in the bucket here, take it up for firewood. Okay, miscellaneous task is I put a heater right there above the dining table, so that's very cool. And if you walk down here, there's our sofa. Our projector, our screen, and our fire pit. Okay, come down here to the grill area. Like tonight when I'm going to grill, I'll put a heater up here too. All right, it's time to wind down the day and get ready for some, uh, Super Bowl, I think, right? So let's see what we got going here. I just got a fire started, got my wings out here, got my music playing, stand underneath my heater because it's a little chilly today. Got my wings right here. We're gonna get these bad boys rolling. All right, look at this, got a beautiful fire going. Yeah. Oh yeah, got them wings. Oh, look at those wings, they look good. Hey, we got the Super Bowl on the big screen outside. Got the fire pit, there's your projector. Looking good, looking good.
