Short motivational monologue by Blair Singer contrasting 'success breakout' (achieving and maintaining success) with 'success sabotage'—psychological reactions (e.g., resurfacing traumas, inconsistencies) that can cause people to regress to mediocrity or pause (vacation, retirement), which undermines momentum. The speaker warns against stopping after success and promises a part two.
Do you have what it takes to truly be successful and to maintain success? That's called success breakout. But there's another side of success which is called success sabotage. Let me explain. You can see where you want to operate from. You see, there's some people that are so unused to winning that when they do win, all kinds of other negative things come up. For example, your heightened sense of awareness that got you successful also unfortunately brings up inconsistencies in your life, bad memories, traumas that maybe that you had. So what happens is people then shrink back down to a mediocre place so they don't have to deal with all that negative stuff that just came up. And worst of all, they may even take a break. They'll go on vacation. Some people will retire, they'll kick back, which is the worst thing that you can do because that will kill your momentum for ongoing success. So what? What do you do and why do you do it? To get the success breakout. Stay tuned for part two.
