Blair Singer explains the third reason people fail: their results cannot exceed their self-concept. He argues that weak self-image, low self-esteem, or limiting self-ideals create a mismatch with high goals, preventing achievement. Recommended remedies include daily affirmations, visualization of desired outcomes, and daily inspirational reading; underlying issue is an internal sense of not deserving success.
The third reason why most people fail has to do with the fact that some people just can't win. You know there's an expression that says your results can never exceed your self concept. What's that mean? That means if your self image, your self esteem, your self ideals are weak but your goals are high. There's a mismatch there and you won't get it. One of the things I learned from one of my great teachers is your results will never exceed that self concept. So what do you do? Daily affirmations of who you want to be, Visualizations of what you want to have. Reading something inspirational to you every day. But by raising your self concept you overcome the third reason why people fail. And that is because they just can't win. And they don't know why. It's because somewhere inside they feel they don't deserve it. Work on that and you'll achieve a lot more.
