Short monologue on the primary attribute of great speakers: authenticity. The speaker defines authenticity as being real through presence, passion, emotional connection, truthfulness about oneself, and focused energy directed at the topic and audience.
What is probably the number one attribute of any great speaker? Well, everybody will tell you it's authenticity. What does that mean other than we know that authenticity is to be real? Well, what comes with being real? It's being very present with the people that you're talking to. It's being very passionate about the things that you're talking about. It's about being able to have an emotional connection and not being afraid to tell the truth about yourself and what's going on. And finally, it's having a tremendous amount of energy. Not crazy energy, but energy toward whatever it is you're speaking about and energy toward the people that you're speaking to. This is authenticity. Be real. Be authentic.
