How does Transformation happen?

A short motivational talk by Blair Singer on how personal transformation is facilitated. He argues that transformation requires making the desire to help others larger than fear, procrastination, and bad habits, and recommends starting with one's own discipline so others will trust you as a leader or teacher.
How do you facilitate a transformation? How do you do it? In other words, people all want to be in great physical shape, better health. And the science behind doing that is not rocket science. It's pretty simple what to do. But people don't do it. Why? Because something about them resists making that change. Those of you don't know me. My name is Blair Singer and over the last 10, 15 years I've worked with thousands of people to help them become world class trainers and facilitators for one reason. And the reason is because the world needs better teachers and leaders. Teachers are leaders and leaders must be teachers. That's a topic for another time. But most of them have learned the very simple process, not easy, but simple process of facilitating transformation. Let me tell you a little, give you an example by a little story. I had several people, I can think of, two gentlemen come to mind over the years that wanted to become trainers and wanted to learn from me. And I've taught some of the best in the world, as you know. And I looked at them and I said, I can't put you on stage. They said, why not? I go, honestly, you're too big, you're too fat, you're too out of shape. I hate to be blunt with you, but I'm just telling you that if you're going to try to coach somebody to be better with their own health or better about their lives, somebody looks at you and they know that you're not disciplined. So why would they trust you? Why would they go with you? And you know, I can tell you that in both cases, that one comment was a transformational moment because both of those individuals were able to accomplish one thing. They were able to make their desire to help other people. Listen to me closely. Their desire to help other people greater than their fears, greater than their procrastination, greater than their laziness, greater than their bad habits. They allowed the desire to help other people become the motivating factor. And both of them went on to make millions of dollars. One in the United States, one in the country of Thailand. And they've done and they've changed hundreds of thousands of people's lives. So how does transformation happen? How do you facilitate it? Start with you. What is the one area of your life that you know you've been putting off, that you haven't been dealing with? Facilitate your own transformation. Mount your desire to be greater than the fear or all the other garbage that stands in the. And you know what? The minute you start making the move, not thinking about it, but Once you start making the move in that direction, your life will transform, and then people will trust you. Be awesome.
