Short YouTube monologue by Blair Singer offering a single practical sales rule: give value before asking for a sale (the "law of reciprocity"). He recommends teaching a useful best practice for 5–20 minutes to build trust, then transition to selling. The piece is directive and motivational, aimed at salespeople or presenters.
If you want to make selling a lot easier, here's a little hint. Number one, give something before you ask for something. That's right. Offer value first before you try to sell something. It's called the law of reciprocity. If you give a value, you shall receive. So what's that look like? Well, if you're trying to sell to a prospect or sell to a group, don't try to sell so quick. A lot of people get premature closing syndrome. They want to sell something really quickly. Offer value first like teach something. Teach something for 5, 10, 20 minutes a best practice a value that's important in your business. Don't be pitching right out of the gate. Give them something of value that adds value to their life. Now they feel like they can trust you a little bit. Then sell. Teach, then sell. It works awesome. Let me know how it works for you. Be awesome.
