Blair Singer delivers a short motivational sales monologue advising salespeople to never be boring and to use high energy and enthusiasm to raise prospects' mood and increase engagement and willingness to buy. He uses relatable examples (children out-energetic adults) and stresses that higher energy helps inspire trust and makes prospects want to do business with you.
Never, ever be boring. Never ever be boring. If there's one rule in sales is that two people come together in a selling situation, the person with the highest energy generally wins. How many of you know, if you have kids, you know what I'm talking about. If their energy is higher than yours, who wins? They're the best salespeople of all. But what I'm saying, honestly, is that energy is probably one of the best ways to raise another person's mood level. If they've got a level of interest in what you're offering and you can raise their energy energy level, raise their mood level a little bit, chances are they'll even pay more because they want to deal with you. They want to deal with somebody that inspires them, that makes them feel good about themselves. Remember, no matter what you get on a camera, you get in front of a room, you get in front of a prospect, never, ever be boring. It's the kiss of death. Be amazing.
