Short YouTube monologue by Blair Singer offering practical advice for handling sales objections. Presents a three-step process: (1) acknowledge an objection and ask a question rather than defending, (2) avoid arguing and take the customer’s side, and (3) practice roleplay regularly to prepare responses.
Have you ever had an objection that you couldn't handle that cost you money and cost you time? Cost you heartache? I'm sure you have. So here are three things to do. Number one, understand the process. First thing is somebody gives you an objection. Acknowledge it and then ask a question. Don't defend, don't explain. That's a trap. Acknowledge. Ask a question. Number two, don't argue with your customer. It's not a good idea to be arguing with somebody that could be writing you a check. Don't do that. Find a way to take their side and understand where they're coming from. And number three, practice roleplay. 35 years in the business I still role play. If you can't role play with somebody else. I role play my car when I'm driving out loud talking it back and forth, back and forth so when it shows up I'm ready, you're prepared. Be amazing.
