A short motivational talk using the ‘supernova’ metaphor to urge leaders to fully commit and share their energy and influence rather than holding back. The speaker contrasts a star’s long life with a brief explosive moment that disperses energy to create new stars, and uses this as a call-to-action: take risks, release your contribution now.
The supernova principle of leadership. You know a star in the heavens will last millions, maybe even billions or trillions of years and it will last and it will burn and it'll create great influence. But in one shining moment when the star is almost at the end of its lifetime in a matter of seconds it collapses and then explodes into a gigantic supernova. A supernova with it sends out more energy than an entire galaxy all put together in that moment. So the question I ask for you is as a leader are you putting it all in? Are you putting it all on the line? Are you giving away as much as you can see? The supernova in that moment takes all of what it's created and spreads it to the far reaches of the universe where then again they all become new stars. Think about it. Are you holding back? Are you waiting for something? The time is now. Let it go. Put it out to the world. Create.
