A short sales-coaching clip by Blair Singer that teaches a quick reset when a salesperson becomes flustered after an objection. He advises asking the customer a related question (or request more information) and listening to buy time, lower emotion, and regain logical thinking so you can continue the sale confidently.
Mid sale and your brains going haywire. Do this reset and watch the whole thing change. Watch the whole thing change. Look, the reason you got your brain goes haywire is because you feel flustered. You don't know what to say that the customer gave you an objection. So your emotion is high and your intelligence is low. You cannot access your brain, at least the logical thinking part of your brain. So here's what you do. Ask a question. Ask your customer a question, a related question and let them talk. It buys you time. It brings your emotion down. If your emotion is not down, tell them to give you more information. Why is that important? And just listen for a while rather than trying to speak. You'll regain your senses, you'll get back in the conversation and you'll master it like a pro. Do not let the little voice hijack you again. Ever.
