The Blair Singer Mountain Leadership Experience

Blair Singer describes a leadership training program that uses mountain climbing as both metaphor and practice. Participants learn to build high-performing teams, develop intrinsic motivation, and create lasting personal change through the shared challenge of climbing together.
As a business owner, as an entrepreneur, as a parent, as a member of a community, I want to be a better leader. It seemed to me that probably the best way that we learn is not just by reading and not just by listening, but by actually experiencing something. The leadership experience is intended to teach people how to take ordinary people and turn them into a championship team, how to inspire people so that they're personally motivated, so you don't have to inspire them anymore, to be able to support each other, to be the best they can be, to take them to heights that they've never taken to before.
You know, the beauty of this mountain is amazing. And I think this is the ultimate in team sport. When you can combine a mental draining thing and you add the elements of weather and altitude and people and all of those things, and to be successful with all that is just really good enjoyment.
Everybody keeps getting these winds and another wind and another wind, and people keep getting bigger and bigger.
It's still one of the most powerful mountains in the world. I know that it's dangerous, but I also know it's magical. And it just makes you see things very differently when you're here.
When you come off of that mountain, the world will definitely look different. You will still have the altitude to be able to see the forest, for the trees, to be able to be the person that's calm in the eye of the storm, and most of all, to get yourself and others to achieve way beyond their expectations and to contribute the best of themselves. So if you're up for the challenge of your life and to make the contribution of your life and to be able to cascade that into changing the lives of others in your business and your family and your community, then consider the mountain leadership experience it.
