Blair Singer compares great leaders to stars: they generate intrinsic energy from purpose, create gravitational pull that attracts teams, and build other leaders to ensure lasting influence.
You gotta think like a star. I'm not talking a movie star. I'm talking like a sun star. Think like a star. Why? Because being a great leader is very similar to how a star operates. Number one, they have incredible energy, but it's a fusion energy. It's not combustion energy. It comes from within. In other words, driving purpose, the desire to bring out the best in other people. These things fuse together and create incredible, almost lifelong energy. Number two is that a star creates a gravitational pull around it that attracts a whole solar system, other planets, other teams, other leaders. But number three is that every star, whether it's millions of years or whether it's just you and I, our sole purpose is not to be the star, but to create other stars. If you do that, you'll be a star forever.
