YouTube-recorded talk by Blair Singer reflecting on what makes a great leader, based on his 30 years working with entrepreneurs. Singer emphasizes leadership as bringing out the best in others, inspiring people to strive for excellence, and relentlessly serving one’s constituency (family, teams, businesses). The speaker lists numbered qualities (at least four) and frames leadership as service rather than power or influence.

What is a great leader? What is really a great leader? Not what do you read about in books but what is really a great leader? My name is Blair Singer and over the last 30 years I've worked with thousands of entrepreneurs and business owners all over the world helping to build championship teams 10x their incomes and be able to live out their dreams. Number one, a great leader is somebody able to bring out the best in other people. Yeah it's not about power, it's not about wealth, it's not even about influence, it's not about decision making all that other stuff which is helpful. Part two is that when you're in the presence of a person like that you actually want to be your best. You strive to be your best and that's being in the presence of a great leader. Number three is great leaders are relentlessly serve their constituency they relentlessly serve their families, their businesses, their, their teams. But most of all number four.
