Blair Singer delivers a short motivational talk warning leaders that they may unknowingly be killing their team’s productivity and innovation. He argues motivation must be intrinsic—people want to become the best version of themselves—and teases that seven elements that add meaning to a person’s life will be presented in a follow-up (part two).
You may be killing the productivity and the innovation of your team and you don't even know it. You might think that you're actually doing a good job in leading that team, but you're not getting the results and you don't know why. Well, I'm going to show you exactly why that's happening. Two parts to this. Number one. Number one part is what we know is if you're going to motivate people, they got to be motivated from the inside, not the outside. And what motivates them from the inside is the desire to be the very best version of themselves. I've covered this on other videos. That's pretty uncommon. That's why the United States army says, be all you can be. Great recruiting tool because everybody feels there's more inside. But if we were to drill down a little bit further, there are seven elements. Seven elements that are present, add meaning to a person's life and allow them to spontaneously be the best they can be. Stay tuned for part two and I'll show you what they are.
