You’ve gotta learn how to present!

Blair Singer explains why presentation skills matter. Learning to present gives you expert status, exposure, and leverage that attract bigger opportunities.
How many people think that would be good to learn how to present? How many of you would like to be. Because a couple things happen when you go to the front of a room. Number one, you come to the front of the room. Everybody thinks you're what? Expert. Now, depending what you say after that, you could destroy all that. But they assume you're an expert. That's number one. Number two, what's the other advantage of being able to present? What advantage do I have right now? Exposure. Exposure. Right. I'm talking to 50 of you rather than talking to you one at a time. How many people? That's called leverage. What's it called, please? Leverage. Leverage. Okay. Third thing. Third advantage of learning how to present is this. And I never knew this earlier in my career. When you're up here, is your presence big or small? Big. And big attracts more big. Everybody. I want you to hear this. Big deals don't come to small people.
