In this video, Bizzy marks day 20 of his 21‑day gratitude challenge. He distinguishes two kinds of family – the family you are born into and the family you deliberately choose – and expresses deep appreciation for the chosen family he has built through his career, especially during his service in the U.S. Navy. Bizzy recounts how, as a teenage immigrant with limited resources and language skills, he was supported by mentors and friends who “would gladly take a bullet” for him, emphasizing that such loyalty and love cannot be bought. He concludes by issuing a 21‑day gratitude challenge to Nefertari Strickland, urging her to identify one thing to be grateful for each day and to pass the challenge on to others in her network.

Hello everyone, this is Bizzy and today is day 20 of my 21 Days Grateful Challenge. And I believe that there are two types of family: the family you are born into, you don't have a choice on that one, nobody decides to be born, and then there is the families that you do create, so you definitely choose who your family is going to be. And today I'm very grateful for the family I have created throughout my career and especially in the US Navy. I know a couple of people who would gladly take a bullet for me. Never leave me behind. And that type of relationship, there's not enough money in the world to purchase that. And also a lot of men and women who have helped me out throughout my career since I was a teenager coming to America with no money to my name, barely able to speak the language, and people who believed in me and went above and beyond to show me love, grace, and just cared about humanity. I don't know what they saw in me, but I am very thankful that they did. And friendship like that, again, there is no money in the world to be able to purchase that. So very grateful for the family I have created this holiday season. And I would like to challenge Nefertari Strickland. I've known her since she was a business analyst at McKinsey Defense, and she is also a communication officer in the Army National Guard. Nefertari, if you accept this challenge, you're going to have to be grateful for one thing every single day for the next 21 days and challenge someone in your social network to do the same. Thanks. Happy holiday.
