In this brief episode of the Leadership and Success Podcast, host Bob Fabien Zinga (Coach BZ) pivots from his usual leadership advice to a focused humanitarian appeal. Building on his previous episode about confidence in leadership, he draws a parallel between the responsibilities of leaders and the urgent need to support Ukraine amid conflict. Zinga explains that a GoFundMe campaign initially aimed to raise $1 million, then $2 million, and now $2.5 million for Ukrainian humanitarian aid. He urges his 39,000 LinkedIn followers—and listeners at large—to contribute a micro‑donation of $5 each, emphasizing that the amount is comparable to a coffee and within reach for anyone. Within 24 hours of his call, $200,000 was raised, and the campaign has already reached $2.1 million of the $2.5 million target. He provides a short URL (tinyurl.com/give5ukraine) for donations, notes that contributions are tax‑deductible, and cites a Martin Niemöller quote to stress collective moral responsibility. The episode concludes with a typical podcast sign‑off, encouraging subscriptions and positioning leadership as essential for driving both business success and societal change.

Alright everyone, I'm back again. This is Season 2, Episode 7. The reason why I'm back, the previous episode, Season 2, Episode 6, I talked about confidence in leadership. Leadership being the most critical skill and confidence being the number one quality of an effective leader. And during that episode, I kind of compared Vladimir Putin with the president of Ukraine, Ukraine with Volodymyr Zelensky. And I believe as a leader, all of us as a community, just for being a human being, we really need to do something for the people of Ukraine. So GoFundMe, as a GoFundMe campaign, originally they were trying to raise only $1 million for the people of Ukraine. And when I joined the campaign, I believe it was a week ago, they had raised only about $800,000 by that time. I said only, that is a lot, a lot of money. And my challenge was, well, I have about 39,000 people following me on LinkedIn, which is my number one platform. So if everybody gave only $5, that's what I'm asking for, $5, right? The price of coffee, right? You go to Starbucks, you pay for a cup of coffee, $5. That's what I want you to do. It doesn't matter if you are rich, you are poor, I think everybody can do this, just $5. Not $5,000, not $5 million, just $5. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 dollars. Even when I was a very poor student at the University of Alabama, I could scrap $5 if I really needed to. So I'm asking you to do this for the people of Ukraine. They need our help. So anyway, within 24 hours, we were able to raise more than $200,000 and we met the goal for $1 million for people of Ukraine. Then GoFundMe increased that to $2 million. And we met that goal again, and now they have increased it to $2.5 million. So I want us to raise as much money as we possibly can, and what I am asking, if you would please go to— no, I believe— no, this is the one I showed before. This one: tinyurl.com/give5ukraine, right? tinyurl.com/give5ukraine. Let's raise $2.5 million for them. And if I look on the LinkedIn site now, you are going to see I have a post again asking people to give $5. And if you click on it, you can donate with confidence. Your donation will be 100% tax deductible for you, right? And if everybody gives $5, I think we can literally change the world, right? I believe we are really all in this together. Somebody said, right, first they came for the socialists and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out. Why? Because I was not a trade unionist. But then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out. Why? Because I was not a Jew. But then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me. That was Martin Niemöller who said that. So I really believe as a world community, we are all in this together. So I'm hoping you're gonna take just a moment, take 5 minutes, go to the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund. You can look it up on Google. Make sure you go to the GoFundMe one. We are trying to raise $2.5 million, and right now we've raised $2.1 million, $4,490, which is a lot, but we want to raise $400,000 more, and I think we can do it. Just give $5. Again, that's all I am asking you to do. Let's help the people of Ukraine. Thank you, thank you so much. This would be the shortest, uh, podcast in this season, but I believe this is very, very important. Let's help the people from Ukraine. Bye.
