This is a really unpopular thing to say, but most artists don't have an actual plan when it comes to selling their work online. They're absolutely winging it. And they wonder, you know, why everything feels so heavy or why it's not working. So I want to give you the simplest sales plan possible right now. And then I'm going to give you data that proves why this works. The strategy is this. Just two things. Get in front of more people and make them more offers. Let them know that you have something for sale. Companies that increase both their audience reach and their offers saw a 4.2x increase in their revenue compared to those that just picked one. You can't just grow your audience and never make offers. I know you may think that people click that little link in your Instagram bio, but they don't. And you can't just make offers to the same hundred people forever. And you don't need to be that pushy, right? But having those offers out there is what will get you more sales. And the unfortunate truth is that most of you post really beautiful art but never tell us that it's for sale or how to buy it. Or if you do, tell us it's buried in some caption somewhere. Or you're constantly talking about the sale, but you're never bringing new people in. You're never focusing on communicating with people in a way that is human. And if you dare to actually get better, I want you to take your phone, hand it to a friend, and then have them look at the last 30 posts. Ask them the following questions. Would you be interested in this if you were someone just scrolling through the Internet? Why or why not? And two, how often do you see that I have made something available for sale?
