I see a lot of artists, including myself, who get their butt cheeks all in a wad because they feel incredibly overwhelmed all the time. I've put together five questions that I do pretty often to help me stay out of overwhelm and get back into the things that are going to push me forward in my creative goals. Question number one what's your main goal for the next 90 days? Be specific about this and don't have too many goals. Question number two what are you spending all of your time working on? This should be an exhaustive list. Make a list of every single thing that you have to do in the week as you go through them. Ask yourself, is this helping me get to my 90 day goal? If it is, put a star by it. If it isn't, draw a line through it. Everything with a line through it. You're actually going to shelve those things until later on. And the last question is for the things that are left. Go through each one and ask yourself, how can you do them in a way that makes them more fun and takes you less time? If you like questions like this to help you be more creative and productive, I'd love it if you followed along and I can't wait to get to know you.
