Build an audience as an artist. (Without the hustle)

Lennon Bone walks through the connection blueprint: identify what makes you unique as an artist, pick one ideal fan and their struggles, create content that speaks to them, then build a sustainable system around that. Skip the social-media grind. Focus on depth instead.

Welcome, everybody. My name is Len. If you haven't been here before, I run this channel. The channel is called Stop the Starving Artist, and I am here to help artists and creatives reach their thousand true fans. I believe that there's no better time to be an artist and creative than right now. And so I want to help you today to figure out how to more professionally grow your audience. So what we're looking at today is my connection blueprint, which is a proven method that I've put together that is going to help you reach more people, reach a bigger audience, and to do it by spending less time on social media. Because if there's something that I feel like I know about you as an artist, it's that your art takes time, your creativity takes time. And for us to be expected to show up online.
Consistently in a way that, like.
In a way that just puts us in this, like, I don't know. Social media is a rat race, right? So when we're expected to show up consistently all the time, we end up frustrated because our art may take us days or weeks or months or whatever. And when we're trying to post our art online and be consistent with people, we get behind. It's just inevitable. And when we feel behind, we end up frustrated. And so we turn to things that are tactical, things that feel very simple. But those tactics that a lot of people teach, you know, we kind of run from one to the next to the next, and they don't necessarily work. Right. Why don't they work? Well, the reason they don't work is, one, it's really hard to be consistent in something that you're not driven by. It's hard to be consistent in something that you don't enjoy. Right. Number two, they don't necessarily work because you're not fully sure what to put in those trends or that content that's gonna make somebody pay attention. And that's okay. That's what we're going to talk about today. And the third thing is that, you know, when you get into that level of I need to be consistent, I need to be consistent, I need to be consistent. And it becomes an obligation. That obligation eventually leads to resistance, because when you don't see the growth that you want, you get frustrated and you start to feel like, well, what is the point? Why should I even continue to show up in some way? And so I want to talk today about ways that you can do this that feel really authentic, that really get people to pay attention and get people excited. And I'm looking here in the chat today as well. So if you're here watching live, please let me know that you're here. Karen's here. Hi, Karen. I'm going to be taking questions at the end of this as well. So let's start with the first of these four levels of what I call the connection blueprint. So this is just, again, sort of my thing, right? Everybody has their methodology, right? So the first thing that I want you to think about is what is your unique value as a creator? What is your unique value as an artist? So this is one of the things that a lot of artists neglect. A lot of you are starting with the art and you say, well, if I put this art out there, then somebody's going to pay attention to it if they like it, and that's how I'll grow a following, right? Here's the problem with that. When you're concerned just with putting the art out there and they have no context as to why it's valuable to them, it's really hard to get them to pay attention. Why? Because the Internet is flipping saturated with artists, right? What we're looking for is something unique. And when I say something unique, I don't just mean your work. I mean the whole package. I mean your work. I mean you as an artist. I mean the way those things collide. I mean the way that you engage with your audience. And before you start to feel overwhelmed about this, what I want to remind you of is that your unique value, you. It's not your work. And most people want to put all the value on the work. And so when you don't get the views, what do you feel? You feel like a failure, right? It doesn't. It feels like. It feels like frustration when you show up and people aren't responding how you want. And so when you realize that your unique value is actually you. Your viewpoints, you. Your beliefs, the things that, like, motivate and excite you and inspire you. That's the stuff that you are as a person, right?
So what I want you to think about, like, is your favorite creatives, okay? Picture in your mind an artist that you really love and ask yourself, what is it about them that you really like besides their work? Do you know what their spiritual beliefs are? Do you know if they have a family? Do you know maybe where they live? Do you know other things that they're into? Maybe their influences, Right? If you know some of these things, then.
You'Re totally, like, proving my point here, which is the unique value is the whole package is the Whole artist is the whole creative. And so I want to help you define that. Okay, so there's two things here that need to be identified in this unique value. One is I call this your why power. If you've heard of Simon Sinek's talk, start with why. I think that's a really good sort of base level of this. So the first thing is your own why. Why is this valuable for you as a creator? So that you can stay driven and excited even when it starts to feel like work. So. So when you know, okay, well, if I want to get my stuff out there, if I want to make money from this, if I want to be successful, whatever success looks like for you, and if that means growing an audience and making some money from it, right. Then you have to know why this is valuable to you. Because it will feel like work at some point. And when you know that value and you know what your mission is with this, it keeps you driven. For me, like, the big driver is helping artists and creatives really change the way they see their own worth. And what I mean by that is, I know a lot of people get into this world of, like, wanting to be successful, and we see what success is by the world's terms, and when we're not at that level, we feel less valuable than them. When I want to say you are equally. And the work you make is equally as valuable as them, theirs, you just may not know how to present that value yet. It may not be as good and it may not connect as well yet. Right. But those things ultimately, I believe, don't matter. And so that's why I want to help artists change their value from the inside first so that they have this driver. The second thing that you have to think about is your why for the viewer, right? Why is this valuable for your fan? For your viewer, right? Could be a listener, could be an experiencer of some kind, depending on what you're doing. If you're doing, like, live events or you're doing photography, music, whatever, right? Doesn't matter what the medium is. This all works the same. So understanding this will allow you to make not only art for them that you enjoy making, but it's going to allow you to market that art with a lot more simplicity and get them to be more excited about it. And when I say market, I want you to know that I use that term a little bit differently. I don't mean it from this, like, clinical sense. Market to me, really means connect. Like, so when we connect it to our viewers, that's the Most powerful thing. So an easy place to start to identify these two things is to ask yourself question number one. Write this down if you want to. What do I get from my create? Like from creating my own art, what do I get from that? And if I could accomplish one thing with it, what would that be and why? Put that in the chat if you want. I'd love for you guys to share with each other what that is, right? So what is that one thing? And here's the pro tip for you. If you're like, you're never gonna go deep enough the first time. Cause you may say like, well, I wanna make money with my art. I wanna make a certain value. I want to be able to just like support my family, right? So ask yourself why you want those things? Why do you want to be able to support your family? Why do you want to make more money? Why do you want more fans? You know, if it is to support your family, that's a pretty good why. But why is it so that you can. Like, for me, one of my whys is like to show my daughters that literally they can do anything, right? And what a cool. Like, that's like one of the. It's like one of the ultimates for me because I don't want to give up anything and show them that they need to settle. Because I think it's so important to like let them see that in a very real way and not just say it. You know what I mean? So that's one of my whys. So what is that for you? Look deeper for that driver. And then two, in reference to your audience, ask yourself, what have I been through in my life? Not necessarily your creative life that has been challenging, that feels unique to you and that you really enjoy or really could enjoy helping other people with. Okay, so here's the thing, pro tip on this one. Like, these are some of your life experiences that you can pull from to create relatability and connection with your audience. So this is like the meat and potatoes of stuff. So everything that I teach, those of you that have maybe been here before, you've heard me say this has to do with this point where you have your creative work and your creative life. Most people just present this, right? They just present their creativity. And when you look at your creativity from a circle standpoint, if you just saw it as a two dimensional circle, that's all you'd see, right? But what you also have behind that creativity is an entire life of experiences and ideas and challenges and joys and all these things. That inform the work you make. Right? And so when you take that two dimensional circle and you flip it on its side and we now see a full ball there, we can see the entire depth and breadth of the object. Then it shifts. Now we have this whole thing for us to look at and it becomes so much more compelling and exciting. And we'll get into a little bit how to present that, but I hope that you can see where we're going here. So ask yourself those two questions, and that's going to help you come up with your unique values as an artist. Right. So the second part of the connection blueprint is to find your true fans. Okay. We're going to get into a little more of a breakdown of this toward the end, so make sure you stick around for that. But what this comes to is like, a lot of people, a lot of artists, they say, well, I've had this conversation. For instance.
Somebody messaged me and they said, hey, you know, how can I know, like, who my art, like who my audience is? And I said, well, what do you want? Just like we just asked, what do you want to give your audience? Like, what do you want your art to do for your audience? And they said, well.
I wanted to make them happy. And I said, okay, so why aren't they happy? And they said, well, like, does it matter? Like, doesn't everybody want to be happy? And I said, yeah, but the reason that I want to be happy versus the reason that you want to be happy may be very different. Like, for you, what might make you happy in this moment is, you know, growing a bigger fan base for your art or. And for me, what's going to make me happy in this moment is being able to focus on one very specific thing in my life so that I have more.
Capacity for my family. Those are very different things. Right? And so when you know that, when you know what your person is going through and struggling with, you can start to talk about that, right? You can start to identify this one person and speak directly to them. So there's a woman that I follow who does this really well. And I talked about this today inside of my private group. So I have a program called you'd First Thousand Fans, which will be launching here in a couple weeks, where we do weekly office hours calls. And in the office hours calls today, we were kind of discussing this idea of how do we really know more of, like, how do we put more of these ideas out there in our content, in the things that we're promoting so that we don't Just have to always be pushing our art over and over again. And so there's a gal that I follow by the name of Chalene Johnson who's not in the art space at all. And I tend to actually look outside of the art space and creative space often because I think the art space is very limited, if I'm being honest. I think a lot of the industry people here are living in the past. They're still abiding by the ideas of galleries and gatekeepers and all these things. And that doesn't exist anymore. Like those things still exist, but that you don't need that anymore to be quote, unquote, successful. Right? And so one of the things that she does really well is not only talk about marketing, which is her thing, she has a program for marketers or to help you be a better marketer. But she also talks about things that are happening in her life that she's really passionate about, things that are really, you know, that she's struggling with in the moment. And she brings those stories to her audience from a place of, like, pain sometimes, sometimes from a place of joy. So, you know, for instance, right now she's in New York with her husband, they're living there for a month. And she's sharing some of that journey. So those people get to know her as a person. Right? Remember, we have our creative life and then our regular life, right? And when we flip those, put those together, we have something with more depth. She also is dealing with her father in law having Alzheimer's. And so she was sharing a lot of that story. And by the end of that, those things, I just feel like I know her, you know, and so when I feel like I know her and then I hear her teach, I hear her do these other things, it's like, oh my gosh, I like this woman because I'm like her. And so Seth Godin says people like us do things like this, and that's really what we're getting at here. So what I want you to think about as you identify your one person, and I want you to think of it as one person is, you know, if you only had one person that you were going to serve with your art, who are they? What are they going through in their life? What are they struggling with? You know, how have you maybe overcome some of those things or how. What are you doing in your life that could maybe help them and share some of those things online, Right? Talk to them as if they're just sitting right in front of you. Because I guarantee you that when you start to do that, things will shift. Right? And for me, I have a very specific person. Like, you don't know this, but I can see you, and it's not you. Like, I don't see your face, but I see your face. I have a face in my mind that I visualize. I have a person here that I think about, and I care very deeply about this person. And that helps me to show up also with much more authenticity and drive and excitement as I'm teaching this stuff. So hopefully that shows through. I'd actually love to know if, like, in the chat, if I come across as, like, too teachy teachy or if it feels authentic. I hope that it feels authentic because I really feel the connection of, you know, somebody on the other side. And so I want you guys to have that same thing as well. So here's the one question for this. Ask yourself this. If I could only give my art and my creativity to one person, who are they? What are they going through in their life? And why do they need you and your art? Not just your art, but you and your art. So ask yourselves those questions. So first thing was identify your unique values. The second thing is identify your true fan. And that the third thing here is to connect your values with your audience's values. And so. Okay, cool. Thank you, guys. Great. I'm really appreciative of that. I thank you guys a lot. So.
When we connect our values with our fans values, we can do this multiple ways, but this is where the content comes in. Most people, like I said, they start with the art and then they go straight to the content. But they don't think about themselves and what excites them, and they don't think about their person and what might excite that person. And then so they just start putting out content. And this is where the frustration lies. And so now that you understand or you'll start to understand your person and then this idea of, like, yourself a little more and how you can present yourself to that person, then we start to connect those values with these people that are checking you out. Right? So this goes back to that idea of Seth Godin saying people like us do things like this. So we do this with really kind of three steps online. I want you to think about the first one being very practical, very tactical, right? And this is set all of your profiles, your websites, your social media, all that stuff up in a way that really tells who you are, what you do, and why it should matter to somebody else. Your profiles, your website, all that stuff. Should say, I am an artist who does this, or I. I am a creator of blank because.
So that blank. Right? So I create portraits. Or. I'm sorry, sorry, I did that wrong. I am a creator of blank for blank. So that blank. So, for instance, my wife does portraits, and so we talk about this a lot. She's currently marketing.
Some portraits that are opening up. And so she is a illustrator for moms that are dealing with postpartum depression.
And she does portraits for them so that they can capture and show the joy of their imperfect lives. Right? And so, like, there's something to that that's a lot more tangible and deep. It's no longer like, just an illustration or just Song or just a photographic image. You know, like, we get somewhere. So set up all your profiles to have those things. That's number one. Number two, create content that gets the right new people to take notice. And if you're not sure what kind of content to make, go back to how you answered those other questions and who it is and say, what do they need? Like, what can I just. How can I just talk to them better? Right? And I'm actually launching a.
Program, like.
A free challenge and workshop that starts on Monday. There's a link for it in the description. If you. If you're liking this and you want to consider signing up, that starts on Monday. And we're going to go a lot deeper into the content side there, and you'll be able to ask me direct questions about that. But make a list of, like, stories, ideas, beliefs all around these things that you've gone through in your life and how it affects maybe the work that you make and the kind of work that you want to make for your ideal person. Also, let us know, like, how it affects your life. If you're one of these artists, that's, like, all you end up talking to is other artists. That's because you're only speaking the artist's language. You're only talking about your techniques. You're only talking about, you know, the brushes you use. You're only talking about the things that excite artists. You're not talking about real life, things that regular people can relate to. And so you're missing a whole bunch of opportunity there to connect deeper with somebody. So remember, like, the kind of content you make doesn't matter near as much as the context of it. The kind of content you make doesn't matter near as much as the context of it. So a lot of the questions I get are, should I do carousels? Should I Do reels? Should I be on TikTok? Should I be on YouTube? Should I? I don't care, right? Like if you get in this challenge and you want advice on that, I'm happy to understand what you're going through better and give you some thoughts just based on your strengths. But ultimately, like you can grow an audience on any platform if you are giving out content that has a real context and heart to it, that feels exciting to them. Okay, the third part of this is to create a conversation with people that start following you. And I mean like a literal conversation, whether it's through comments, direct messages and I mean like send them videos, send them like audio messages on Instagram, write directly to them, send them emails, make them feel special. People want to feel seen and heard and they want to know that whatever you're doing, like they mean something to you. If you want to know, like, hey, nobody's engaging with my stuff. Like are you engaging with them? If somebody goes and they like you get a bunch of likes on a post, even if it's five likes on a post, are you going into their stuff and checking it out and just saying hey or sending them a message and saying hey, I saw you liked one of my things. Like I just want to say thanks, like where I'm at right now, it means a lot. And then ask them things like ask them why they liked it. Ask them, you know, what resonated with them the most. Have deeper conversations with them because that's going to help you understand what you can make more of so you can continue to grow it. And the beautiful thing about that is you're starting by making stuff that you like and you're making it for somebody that you like. And so it's no longer this pressure of like, well what do I do? And then you have these conversations with people and you're like, oh my gosh, they like this. That's really cool. And now you start to scale that, you start to make more of that stuff and it feels, feels more authentic to you. And it's no longer just like, you know, trends for the sake of trends, which I just can't stand.
Alright, if you guys have any questions, please ask them in the chat. We are getting into the last part of this teaching. So the fourth part here is to collect value. So the first thing is to identify your unique values. The second part is to identify your true fan, right? And then the third part is to connect your values with your true fans values through content, through like conversations. And then the fourth part is to collect value in return. I know that most of you would love to figure out, like, one of two things. To have a community around your artwork. That matters, right? Were they really, like. It's not just clicks and likes and, like, hearts or whatever, they really care. That's what you want. And then the other thing is to make a little money, right? Because money is. It's just proof that it works. It's proof that somebody cares. It's proof that somebody like, that you've touched somebody enough to get them to pay you. There's no great. Like, we think of money as this, like, evil thing. Like, money and marketing. I feel like in the art world are like the evil twin brothers that we're all annoyed with because we've seen all these grubby, like, money marketers over here that have created this false narrative that makes us feel like, well, we have to be the better Call Saul's of the art world. It's not that. Again, if you think of marketing as connection and you think of money or exchanging money as service, as you showing up to serve instead of selling, what does that do for you to change the narrative? I'd love to hear that in the chat. If you thought less about trying to sell to someone and you thought more about trying to serve them, would that make it feel better to exchange money? Because it certainly helped me because I started to think of money. More of. It is a value exchange, right? Because when I pay for something, here's the difference in, like, the way my kids approach things. When we go to the dollar tree and they get a toy there or we go to McDonald's, that's even. This is better. We go to McDonald's and they get a toy, and the toy is free, and it comes with their Happy Meal, right? They get it out and they are pumped about it for about maybe an evening. Then where does it end up? It ends up on my floor, right? And it's just, like, kicked around, and it eventually ends up in the garbage. But what happens when my kids are doing things where they're literally having to earn the money that they're going to then spend on a doll, and that doll costs them $30, which to, like, a child is, like, a ton of money, right? Well, what happens with that doll? I can guarantee you those dolls that, like, they've gotten that way are the ones that they play with the most. Those are the ones that are in every little, like, playtime narrative that they have, they value those things more. So as consumers, the things that we know have Stakes. And money becomes stakes, right? Stakes meaning, like, there's something on the line. We value it more. This is part of the problem with many of you as creatives is that you want to make more money in your art business. And forgive me, this is a little bit of tough love, but you're not willing to invest, you're not willing to spend some money to, like, figure out how to do it better. You say money's really tight. And yeah, money might be tight, right? But you're more than happy to go and spend that money on other things that, you know, may or may not serve your business at all, right? And that's just. That's just so true. Like, I did the exact same things, and then what I changed was this idea of that money is a value, money is a service. And when I pay somebody to give me a service, I love it that much more. And I'm going to go in and do the work. I'm going to go in and, like, engage with it and do it. And I think that that's, like, really important stuff, right? So the way that we collect this value in return comes from. What's coined, I think, is like the concept of the five ones. And I got this from Greg Hickman, and I've sort of refined it a little bit for creative people. But the five ones includes this one person, right? So we've talked about this. You're going after one creative person. This is how you collect value. Remember, you're going after one creative person with one product.
One conversion, and we'll get into this in a second.
With one content strategy for one year. So if you want to build up a following of, like, true fans, then you're going to do this method of having one person in mind, having one product for them, like a main product, one conversion method, meaning one way of, like, getting them into your product, one content strategy that gets their attention, and then you do that over one year. So I like to flip this over and think of it as a form funnel. So you're going to do all of this work for one year, and then for one year, you're going to have one content strategy, and that content strategy is going to get people's attention. You're going to have a conversion method, which is usually like an email list. You're going to get them on your email list, you're going to get them in your content, you're going to have these direct conversations, these more meaningful things, and they're going to now be, like, part of your true fan group. Right. So once they're in that, then you have one product to offer them. Right? And that one product is really there to serve one specific person. When you start to simplify things like this, your whole approach gets simpler. Because what we usually do is the shotgun approach, where we have all these ideas and we put it all out there and we just see what happens. And then when we do that and we find something that works, we chase the thing that works without the idea of what also works for us. And this is what I help artists change about themselves, right? Learn your unique value. Learn the value that you have so that you can then hone into your skill sets and do that better. And so this is the idea. So you have your one person. Who's this person that you want to talk to. We discussed that already. You have one creative product. This could be a physical product, your actual artwork, an album, those kinds of things. One thing you want to think about is profit here. And we're not going to get deep into the money side of it because a lot of you are, like, trying to think here. You don't need to be here yet. You need to be at those first two steps, to be honest. Right? Then you have digital products, which are like, courses. Anything where you can sell it over and over and over and never have to do more of the work. I think there's real value, and I think every creative person should have some sort of digital product. I think it's. It's a waste if you're always having to trade your time for money. Then you have ads and affiliates. These are things where, like, you know, for instance, people that are. In my course, they can have an affiliate link. So every time that they have a friend that buys my course, they get a portion of that because I want to reward them for helping me. Right? And I want to make sure everybody wins in that situation. You can do that through Amazon, Target, tons of, like, art retail places. You can do that through music stores. There's. I mean, just about any place online has an affiliate option, and you can sell their products and you get a cut of that revenue. Then you have deals which are like a record deal, a deal with a gallery, something where somebody's helping you get in front of people, and then they're going to take a cut of that. I don't love this approach. I was a musician for. Professionally for 15 years. 10 of those years I was on the road. Very fortunate to play on a Couple Billboard Top 200 records, work with a Grammy nominee, do a lot of different things in that world. And we had to split everything with our label. And when you're splitting everything five ways for band members plus a manager plus the label, by the time it gets to you, like there isn't much left. And so I'm really trying to promote this idea of, you know, how can you cut out the middleman? Because there's no better time to do that than now. And I promise you that. So if you can get directly in front of your audience, you will win, right? Then you have services. This may be you do portraits like my wife or you design logos for people, you do video work for them, you take photos for weddings, you know, any of that kind of service based stuff, right? And the conversion method is all about like an email list. You want to get them in there and you want to make that email list something that purpose driven for them. A lot of artists, they want their email list to be about them. Shouldn't be about you, it should be about the viewer, right? So if your art is to help people that are dealing with, let's say anxiety, maybe you could do something like curate the best content art content around anxiety from Instagram for the week. And you send them like five great memes that like lighten their mood every Monday. You could do something as simple as that, right? You could teach them about something, find articles online and share those things with people, but make it valuable for them and also make sure you're giving your thoughts on these things. Like people want to hear from you, they want to hear your opinions and sprinkle your stories and your life into this stuff as well. And it works really, really well. And then you're going to do that with one content strategy. Meaning like, you know, how are you putting out your content on like Instagram or YouTube or TikTok or whatever. And you're going to do that for a year, right? So this is the connection blueprint. You identify your values first, then you identify your unique fan and then you identify how you can bring your values to your unique fans values and then you collect value in return for your work. It's not rocket science, it's not even new. But the way that I teach it has so much to do with introspection. Most people are looking outward. How do I find inspiration from everyone else instead of going inward and saying how do I find motivation internally so that it resonates more with the viewer and so it's more fun for you as the artist. Cause that's what I want for you. I don't want you to Feel like it's always the hustle and grind because when you start to do it from in here, something shifts. It's no longer this like, I'm constantly looking for inspiration kind of thing. It's more like what has got me lit up right now. And you can talk about that at nauseam many times. And so I've put together this five day challenge that starts on Monday. And it's called From Followers to Fans. Because I don't want people to build a follower count. I want them to build an actual fan base. And the idea here is based on your thousand true fans. So if you've heard of the thousand true fans, really the method is if you have a thousand people that'll pay you $100 a year, that's $100,000 a year. What a lot of people don't talk about is if you have, you know, 100 people or even 10 people that'll pay you $1,000, like that's $10,000, right? And you can, you can figure out that faster than trying to get a thousand true fans. That's the model that I teach with my clients and with the artists that I work with. And you don't do that right away. Like I said, many of you don't need to be thinking about the product yet. You need to think about the first steps. And that's what this challenge is all about, is going inward, seeing what your unique traits are. And I promise you, there are things that you don't even see right now in your zones of genius that you could be putting into the world that would connect with people on such a deep level. And so if you want to sign up for this and check it out, you're going to learn not only social media strategies, but internal strategies that help with your motivation, that help with your mindset. We're going to make it a priority to actually get off of social media a lot next week and get into being what I call creative contributors, not creative consumers. When we're creative consumers, we get lost in the scroll and we don't connect with not only our work and our content, but we don't connect with other people. So we're going to get off social media and get into the actual creation of things. We're going to set aside time to do that together, really excited about that. And then you're going to come out of the other side with a content strategy that feels so much more authentic and real to you. Please. If you want to check this out, the link is in the description below. You can also go to stopthestarvingartist.com which I have on the video here, and you'll be able to sign up for the challenge there. If anybody has any questions, I'll take a second here to wait for those and.
And give you guys an option to. To ask them, because I'd love to help you guys if I can. In the meantime, thank you so much for being a part of this, teaching and coming and giving me what I know is your most valuable asset, which is your time. And so that's the other thing I want you to think about, is whether you have five people following you or you have 50,000 people. I don't care. Each one of those persons is giving you their most valuable asset, which is their time. Never underestimate that. That's why we have to go deeper and not wider. We forget about the people that are already there, and we get so caught up in how to get new in. But when we focus on the people that are there, like we talk about in this challenge and in my programs, like, that's when things start to shift. And what I've seen with my clients is they've now gone on to have, like, you know, one in $2,000 sales days consistently. We have one one client where there are a couple. They do mosaics, and they've grown on TikTok to over 35,000 followers in less than. Less than two months, I believe. I don't want to oversell that. I've had other people that have gone on to successfully sell their own courses and their own artwork. We have people in the community that are doing things like selling their artwork overseas. We have others that have done work for companies like Netflix Family and been written up in Bored Panda and things like that. So this works when you have a message and a narrative and a story that gets people to care, People take notice because they know how to talk about it. And so that's what I want to help you do.
Cool. So it looks like there's no questions. Thank you guys so much for being here and for being a part of this live stream. I cannot tell you thanks enough. Please go sign up for the From Followers to Fans challenge starts on Monday. We have a call on Sunday, like a welcome party. These will be live zoom calls, so we'll actually be face to face. It's not going to be like this. So you'll be able to talk directly with me. We have a Facebook group that's already launched. I'd love to have you in there. So go to followers to fanschallenge.com and I'll see you guys inside.
