This is so cool. Two artists and educators in California have created an art project that is getting them over 9,000 calls. That's right, calls per hour. The project started when Ms. Martin and Ms. Weiss wanted to teach their kindergarten to sixth graders about empathy. So they asked the kids, if you knew someone who needed a little bit of joy, what would you say? These kids then recorded those answers, and they used those answers to set up a hotline. And the hotline is for people to call when they need to feel uplifted. The number is 707-877-37862. Okay, so I feel like I need some life advice, so I'm gonna press two.
If you're feeling up high. Up high and unbalanced, think of groundhogs. It's okay to be different. The world is a better place with you in it, bro. You're looking great.
It's really hard to listen to that and not just have, like, the biggest smile on your face. It really does work. So if you're feeling a little bummed, I would encourage you to give this number a call. And a huge thanks to these amazing educators for bringing us some joy today.
