I toured in a band for 10 years and we always had this saying. We'd say leave them wanting more, especially when it came to a new audience. And what is social media? It's always trying to get you in front of a new audience. If we were opening for a band, we'd much rather play our best 30 minutes and make people pumped that we were there than to overstay our welcome. These same ideas come into play when you're selling your art online. Try things like having limited runs, only selling products at certain times, and make sure that you're going to be selling out of those products when you. When people miss out on that, they're gonna feel like they need to pay better attention next time. Talk about how you sold out the work. Even if it was only five pieces, even if it was only one, people don't care if there were one or a thousand. If they were left wanting more, they will come back. If you're trying to use your social media to grow more of an audience and sell more of your work online, but feel like your brand is just coming up short, it's not reaching new people. I have a free brand audit checklist for artists like yourself. Just 30 minutes. With this, you'll be fixing all the holes in your online strategy so you're reaching more people and selling more art.
