If you've been watching the show Inventing Anna on Netflix, you've probably heard about Anna Delvey. The New York Times published an article expressing how Anna had added a new profession to her ever growing list and that profession is artists. Since being put in prison, Delvey has turned to art as her catharsis and thanks to the help of artists Julia Morrison and Alfredo Martinez, they have put together a show. Should be noted that Martinez actually served time for selling forged Basquiat drawings to art collectors, so group show opened recently with a crowd of 150 as well as a performance by a rock band. Anna Sorkin, her real name called her curator and collaborator from the ICE detention chatted with attendees on speakerphone. It's ironic, sorokin said after having failed so publicly. People are way more interested in hearing my voice now than they were back in 2017. Can we work on putting together some like crazy so I can get some frickin views around here.
