See a lot of artists trying to sell their stuff on social media and they're missing three very, very important things. Number one, what's it going to do for me as the buyer? Why would I want this? What makes it unique? This has a lot to do with understanding who's going to be buying your product or who you're trying to sell it to. When you sell your work or your creative service, make it urgent. Let them know why they need it and why they need it now. And if there isn't a reason, make one up, put a deadline on it, or only sell a certain amount of copies. Something that makes them really want to take action now. And when it comes to connection, give them opportunity to buy it directly from you. When they do that, they're going to feel that direct connection. They're going to know that you're trying to take the best care of them that you possibly can. Let them know why you love it, what the story behind the work is. I talk a lot about this stuff in my free Brand Audit Checklist. This checklist will help you take 30 minutes to start to fix all the holes in your online strategy so you're selling more of your work and growing your audience absolutely free.
