Take Your Real Life Art Sales Online With This (FULL PLAN)

Lennon Bone outlines a three-month sales cycle for artists: Month 1 shares personal stories and art, Month 2 builds an email list of hot prospects, Month 3 runs a sales sprint offering new work first to that list. One creator went from social-only posting to first online sales through email-focused offers, despite a small following.

You're about to watch a full masterclass on how to sell more of your art online in 90 days. And what this is, is a process that you should consider. I mean, truly consider doing over and over again. And I'm going to make a case for why as you watch the video. But I had to do this doing screen share so that I could kind of show you some visuals. I'm a run-and-gun kind of guy. Like, this is what you're seeing in this video is exactly how I coach my clients. And so I really hope you get a lot of value from this. Let's head over to the computer and show you how to sell more of your art in the next 90 days. Okay, so let's look at this process of generating sales for your art online because this is really, really important and it's really, really simple. The reason I love this process is because it's simple. And if I'm gonna go on a limb here, I'm gonna say the thing that will get in the way in this process is not just how do I do certain things, it'll be, well, what if I do it wrong? Okay, so keep that in mind as we're watching this, that I want you to just first start by just having an open mind and not ask how questions yet. Just get into the, okay, this is the thing. This is like what we're going to do. So this is, in this scenario, we're looking at this over 90 days. Okay. I love 90-day increments because it's a business quarter and whether you like it or not, if you're trying to sell your art, you run a small business. So you're a business owner. That's beautiful. And when we think of things in 90-day increments, becomes simpler. This quarter, for instance, is about to end, right? And, or technically, I think maybe is ending today. And so when I think about that, it's like, did I get everything done that I wanted to get done in this quarter? No, my life kind of blew up and things got crazy. But what I do know is that I still, because I knew, okay, that we're about to end 90 days, I knew I could still get a lot of the last things done that I wanted to get done because I have a process. So, this process I'm going to show you is the same process I teach my clients. It's the same process I do in my own online business. And what I've gotten really good at is teaching this in a way that artists understand it, right? That it's built and really, you know, defined in a way that is for artists. So there are two things that we're trying to do at all times. Number one, get in front of more people. And number two, make them more offers. That is like everything. Now, why do we do that? Well, because at some point when you start making offers, you're going to run out of people that have seen your offer. So you need to constantly be bringing new people, right, into the world. So it goes around and around and around that we're bringing new people in and we're making them more offers, right? Doesn't mean you shouldn't be making offers to your old people, and I'm going to get to that in a second, right? But here's what happens. You make them an offer and they either say yes or no. If they say yes, what's great is they have the option later on to say yes again. And there is only one way that you can get someone to really say yes again. That is if you keep their attention and you show up consistently. Okay? Again, this is why I love a process that goes over and over again, because when you do this, you're not only making an offer to new people, but you are bringing new people in, you're making the new people an offer, and you're making your old people an offer. Now, the other option is they may say no, but what they're really potentially saying is, some people are saying not yet. And that not yet is a really, really important thing because if you think about like how many times have you seen something that you wanted, but you just go, I want that, but not yet. Now what happens is when we say not yet, if that thing doesn't come back into our life, it becomes a no, right? So if you as the artist or you as the small business aren't continually making offers, then this not yet will become simply a no. Does this make sense? I hope so. Okay, so let's look then at the process, right? So in month 1, we think fully about getting in front of new people, right? Just getting more new eyeballs in the door. And what's cool about this is the way that I plot all this out. You should be creating content here that's really about you as a person in a lot of ways. We'll get into all that. But, you know, when you start here, if you're, if you're doing, if you have a plan within your content system, you're not only getting new eyeballs, but you're building more trust with the not-yets. And that's really cool. Okay, so month 1, we're all thinking about new eyeballs and building trust with those new people as well as the people that are already there. Okay, then month 2, We focus on building what I call your priority list. Okay? This is your potential hottest buyers. These are the people that you say to them, like, hey, I got this thing coming up and I'd like to, like, and I have X amount of them, right? Here's what's so cool. You know, a lot of our, or a lot of businesses rather, have what we call scarcity. There's this idea that I'm sure you've heard of called supply and demand. And so the— when the demand is higher than the supply, you're in a good situation. That's what you want because it allows— like, it creates urgency. There's a little bit of like, oh, I want that, I better get it because, you know, I know it's going to go away. So I always encourage artists to have less supply. And what's beautiful about what you do is that you naturally have, for most instances, only a certain amount of things that you can create at one time. That's good because when you have demand and your supply is lower, you can also increase your prices, right? So what we want to do here is build a list a priority list of people that want your stuff. Okay? And two things start to happen. Then you can say, okay, cool. Since you're on this list, just so you know, in this release, I'm only putting out 3 new pieces or 5 new pieces. Okay? And there's 100 of you on this list. So, it's going to be first come, first serve, right? So, I'm going to send you all an email on this date. And, you know, once you're ready, like, you— I mean, you can buy, but just so you know, like, there's 100 of you and there's only 5 of these things. That's natural scarcity. It's not a— it's not a manipulation tactic. It's real, you know. And that's— that's when marketing is way more powerful, is when we're able to do things that are authentic. It's not you making it up, right? Because people can see through that. So Then month 3, that's exactly what we do. We take this priority list we've built and we sell to them. And let's say you have 100 people on your priority list and you have 5 pieces that you're selling, but you only sell 3 of them. Great. Then what we do is after you've sold to the priority list, you open everything up to your socials because Now you can say, I had 5 of these pieces, 3 of them are already gone. I've only got 2 left. So it's going to be first come, first serve. And, you know, you're, you're here. So if you would like it, go ahead and grab it. So I hope this is making sense, right? Over these 3 months, the first month we focus fully on getting new eyeballs. The second month we focus on building a list of people that are saying, I want you to make me an offer. So selling isn't slimy anymore. And then month 3, we're saying, okay, cool. Now the people that really showed the most interest, I'm gonna sell to them first. And then whatever's left, I'm gonna open that up to everyone else. Okay, cool. This is the process, okay? Now, if we look at it from a content side, what is the content look like? Okay, I mentioned this a little bit. Two-thirds of the content here is going to be in month one about sharing more of your human side. Why do you do what you do as a person? What's your mission as an artist, right? And when I say what's your mission as an artist, I often mean like, what's your mission as a human being? How do you hope to change your little corner of the world? Because if you think of it like this, you're— if you're— if you have a mission, and let's say that mission is to help people who have felt left out, see that they're— see that they're the thing they thought was holding them back is actually a superpower. Now, we could get more— we should get more definitive than this. So this is still pretty vague. So I might even say help people who've maybe, I don't know. Well, that's why I have a program for it because it's very specific to the person. So, I won't do this right now. But let's say this is our mission. Now, what you have to think is that a lot of people think the art is the only way we do that, right? But the more that we can show how you do this as a human, Do you do it on your socials? Do you, do you show up and volunteer at places? Do you have books that you read? Right? Things that inspire or educate you, right? These are all vessels toward this mission. They're extensions of it. And when we can, can look at things in that way, this is how we start to build what people call a personal brand. Because we have a bullseye that this is like the main thought that we're leading everybody toward, and now we make content around these things. And your art is just an extension of all these things. And what, what is it if it's like Well, you volunteer here. Somebody's like, cool, I actually do that too, right? Or you talk about these things in your socials. People say, oh great, I relate to you. I also am like that. Things that inspire or educate you will also inspire and educate someone who has a similar value structure in their life, right? And then when you have your art, your art becomes this thing that is tangible, a tangible representation of this mission for you and now the people that are following you. So in the beginning, what we want to do, right, is share both the human side or the mission side and the art side. So two-thirds of it is about human stuff, a third of it is about the art. Why? Because people come to social media to be educated, entertained, or inspired. And people don't buy things unless they trust you first. So what are we doing here? We're getting new eyeballs and we're building trust, right? Which is what we talked about already through these styles of content. Then what we do— go ahead and delete this here— then what we do is we flip it. In month 2, we share the art side mostly. And then we share the human side. Do you see how we're starting to balance things out? Because you're like, oh, well, how do— what, like, how are they going to know that I'm an artist? Listen, I talk about this in the program, but it's like simple. It's simple. If you're sharing a human story, have your art in the background. Have like you doing some sort of, um, you know, just, just do something that, uh, like be in process of making art, but share something around a very human-based thing instead of just sharing your process and talking about like why you choose a color, do your process and share why you're the human you are. Why? Because now we're connecting to you and in turn we are seeing you in work, in process, and we are now connecting and driving that line, that through line to your work as well. So then in month 2, when we're sharing more of the art side, we are literally saying to people, I have this thing coming up, get on my priority list, right? And then in month 3, all we're doing is focusing on sharing the offer that we've made. And the offer is simply like, here's the thing I have to sell, here's how you buy it. Very, very, very simple, right? And so, the goals here, if we look at this process, month 1 is just to post social media stuff. Post on socials, right? That's month 1. Get people on the priority list. Make sales. Simple. Can you see that if you have a plan like this that is simple that has guidelines for you to follow, your business not only becomes repeatable, but you now have things that you know you need to improve upon. Because you're gonna run this the first time and it's not gonna go the way you want it to go, guaranteed, right? Just like I said, life lifed for me this quarter. And so, I didn't get everything done that I wanted to get. But what I do know is that month 1 and month 3 still went okay. Did I hit all my goals? No, but I didn't have to give up. I didn't have to just stop, right? And what happens when we have a 365-day goal? When we have a 365-day goal, by the end of the year, how many of you have said, well, I'm just going to give up now. I'm just going to stop. And we stop because we think, oh, well, you know, if I do this, Like, I already— it's already over. Like, I haven't gotten the amount of followers that I wanted, right? This, that, and whatever. I get it, right? I've done this too. And so, this 90-day thing in my program, we call this sprints. So, each of these is lined up as a sprint. So, we have a content sprint, we have an email sprint, and then we have a sales sprint. And for these sprints, especially in months 2 and 3, what I do is I actually have varying levels of commitment. So, it's like you could do an easy sales sprint, you could do a medium sales sprint, and you could do a more challenging, like full release sales sprint. And with the easiest one to the medium to the more challenging, by, you know, by your results will be what you put in. You know, it's like, anything. And so if you take the easy route, you're probably going to make less money than if you take the harder route. But what you do is when you start to have an easy, a medium, and a more, um, more challenging one, like a bigger release, then you have things to play with. You have levers that you can pull inside your art business. So what I'm doing is I'm opening up Um, the first cohort I've done in a long time for my program, and it'll be the first time— like, we ran these sprints in my program, um, last month. Like, in this one already, we saw over 1,000% on average. I know that sounds crazy, over 1,000% on average of artists, um, getting engagement or sorry, new reach and engagement on their social media accounts. I just wanted to make sure I said that correctly because I don't want to spit out stats that are wrong. So what that means is like I give you as you're in the program, I give you prompts, right, that are very, very simple. Dare I even say fun to make that allow you to share more of the human side in a very simple way. And I give you a prompt for 5 days a week, every week. It's very easy. And I give you an example to look at. And this allows you to increase your reach, right? Then for the next month, you decide, like, am I going to go easy, middle, or more challenging? And based on that, I give you an assignment of which email setup to do. And so we get all the email stuff set up and we start getting people on the list. And then based on what you chose here decides what you do in your sales week, right? Or your sales month. So I love this approach and we're wrapping up our sales month right now. What's really cool about this as a thing is again, like, you know, one of my, one of my clients, for instance, She has been with me now for about a year. And what I saw with her is that she got really into doing the social side, right? But doesn't really love it. And that's okay, right? And, and didn't really make any sales. Okay. Then, you know, she went in and was like, oh, cool. I actually really— I'm really pretty good at writing these emails. She started doing that. And then it made sense, like, oh, okay, if I'm, if I'm really posting on socials to get people on my email list where that's like really what I'm good at, I can do that, right? And then over the year, I think it was a couple of weeks ago, she said that she finally got her first sale online. And then she put something out there like, hey, I just got a sale. I'm going to just put another thing out there and see what happens. And within the day, she had sold her second piece. And this is with, I want to say, 400 followers, somewhere around there. Like, it's not a lot. So we went from this level of like, you know, kind of just doing social all the time, not really having a process, to realizing like, oh, writing is something I can be good at, and then continuing to make the offers. Because that is the one thing she did consistently, is she would always make an offer. And then what happens? Well, we went from Some people maybe even said no, but what they really said was not yet. I really hope this makes sense. So we're going to start this cohort on the beginning of the month. I think our first call is on the— like we have a new orientation call the first Monday of the month, I believe. So we'll do— and then we'll do a goal setting call and then we have all kinds of stuff in between. The way this works is really simple. Um, everything is self-paced, so I give you videos to watch and execute on, and then what I do is I have calls to subsidize the questions that you have. That allows me to go deep with you and not just have to— not just teach all the time, because what I find frustrating about a lot of courses is that you have questions but you're not able to get those questions answered personally. I, I'll get questions like, Lennon, how do I write a better hook? And what I'll say all the time is like, that's sort of like asking, how do I build this bed? But I don't know what tools you have. I don't know what kind of wood it is. I don't know how good you are at using those tools. I don't know how big the bed is. Right. And storytelling, content, any of that stuff, marketing emails, your website, all that is like It's context. I need context to coach you through it. And so, that's why I've built it this way because it's much more fun for me to give you the thing to execute and then you go do something and come back to me with like, okay, I took your idea, Lennon, and I did it. Now, help me make it better. That to me is the most powerful way to do any of this stuff. So, that's why I love this as a as an approach. And then to mix that, once a month we do a workshop. And so, uh, these— this quarter we're doing a workshop on increasing the value of your art, like what makes something valuable, uh, and starting to really understand that so you can charge more for your work. Because it's not— it's not the materials that you use that make something valuable. Right. And it's not how long it took you. It's not any of that stuff. It's, you know, what's the internal thing that we're showing to someone externally? Okay. Then we do a workshop on pricing and creating an offer. How do you make an offer with your art or with multiple pieces of art or prints? And, you know, if you have an original or you have originals and you have prints, or you have, let's say you do pottery or you do something like that. You know, you have maybe mugs and plates, you have all these different things, or you do sculpture and you have varying sizes. How do we create an offer from these varying pieces that gets people to buy more without you having to lose profit? That is fun for me. This is like one of my favorite things to talk about. So that'll be a workshop that we do. And then the third workshop, just in time for our sales month, is all about your website. How do you make sure that your website converts? If you're coming to me like, Lennon, I don't have a website, I don't care. Like, literally, I have artists make sales without some fancy website. You don't need some fancy website to be a part of this. You don't. You don't even need a website to be a part of this. I have a whole template that you can use where when we build out your stuff, Um, you know, you can use that, uh, that template to create whatever you need. So if you're interested in this, I have put a link, uh, below for you to check it out. And, uh, I'd love for you to, to go take a look at all the details. If you have any questions, I'm here to help. My assistant Emily is here to help. We really want to make sure you have everything you need. So you can go to— sorry, email Lennon Bone at stopthestarvingartist.com. Lennon at stopthestarvingartist.com. And whatever question you have about the program or any of that stuff, please ask. We are limiting this to 25 people because I have people that come in consistently into my world uh, every month. And I don't want these cohorts to get too big because then in our calls I'm not able to get to everybody. I don't like that. I really want to make sure I can answer everybody's question that's there, and we're able to do that right now. So I'm limiting it to 25 people. Um, I also have 9 VIP spots— or sorry, 8 VIP spots that I opened up, which also include the program and one-on-one calls with me, and I review your socials. I had 8 of those. 3 of those spots are sold, so I only have 5 of those left. Okay, um, so make sure that you go— if you want that, go grab that. Um, and the pricing and all that stuff is in the link below, so go check all that out. Um, uh, will I be running this again? Yeah, at some point. I don't know when, you know. And if you're like, Lennon, I need to sell more of my art before I do this, I I would argue like if you go and you figure out how to sell more of your art, don't take my program. Just like keep doing what you're doing, you know? And oh, I will say this because it's like people are like, how much time does this take? My goal for you, it will always take more time in the beginning because you're going to have to outline your, what your mission is. You're going to have to get your brand stuff together. This is why I opened up the VIP because in that we will do a full call together where we outline everything at once. That way, when you get started, it's all right there. And that's— we can do it together in about 90 minutes, what could take you, you know, a week or more. That stuff, that beginning stuff is going to take the most time. But then everything else, I try to make it to where you can do it in 30 minutes to an hour a day. And if you're like, Lennon, I don't have 30 minutes to an hour to spend on my business. Best of luck. If you don't have 30 minutes to an hour to spend on your business every day, best of luck getting it to work, you know what I mean? Like, I— that's just me being honest. So, um, this is not just a course, this is the plan, right? Literally, I'm just giving you the action steps to go take, um, and that's why I think this is more valuable than what a lot of people teach, you know? So, um, anyway, that's what I got. If you got questions, let me know. Sending you all tons of love. I appreciate you.
