The problem with artists and the Internet is that everybody's starting to look the same. And this is just my opinion. And to me, this has so much to do with the tactics and trends of social media. If you boiled it down to the most successful creative people online, they are focusing on the things that have not changed for thousands of years, which is communication and storytelling and connection. It's time for artists to go back to being the original influencers, which I think artists were the people that brought new ideas, that made us think differently about how we saw the world. We don't do that by following trends. We do that by connecting not only to each other, but first to ourselves.
