I saw a really interesting study that showed if you are learning stuff through the Internet without this one specific thing then you are up to 40% more likely to do the thing wrong but still feel like you're getting better at it. So how do we fix this? We fix this with a very simple word called feedback. If you're not getting feedback from someone who understands what they're looking for, you'll continue to make mistakes. But you won't realize you're making mistakes. You'll actually think that you're doing it correct because you have the head knowledge but not the actionable knowledge. This is why mentorships and communities and being a part of things aside from just YouTube videos is so, so, so valuable. When things don't improve like we want them to, let's say views on social media or sales of your art, like then we're pissed and we end up quitting. Don't quit, just get some feedback.
