About 20 to 50 percent of people with ADHD also have autism. Neurodivergent people usually don't have just one condition; they often have multiple overlapping diagnoses that shape how they think and behave.
Autism spectrum disorder, or ASD, is present in approximately 20 to 50% of people who do have ADHD. What's good to remember if you are looking to better understand somebody who's neurodivergent is that generally we don't have just one neurodivergent condition. So realize that there's probably also another neurodivergent condition mixed in there, which will also affect the way that their brains work and the way that they see things and the way that they do things.
