A man with ADHD tried a treadmill desk and found he could do three times more work. Walking while working triggers hyperfocus by giving his brain the dopamine it craves, turning restless energy into focus instead of distraction.

True story. A friend of mine has the patent on treadmill desks, and for many, many, many, many, many years suggested that I use a treadmill desk, especially for ADHD. And I didn't for a long time. I finally did recently, and it kind of blew my mind. The first time I hopped on it, I couldn't believe how much more focused I was, how easy it was to basically hyperfocus. And I probably got 3 times more work done. And I understand that Part of the reason is because with ADHD and our brains always looking for that extra dopamine hit and, and our brains are busy jumping around, when we're moving our feet, that actually helps that energy have a place to go and to move and to be released. And it opens up ways for us to have better focus and memory and lower stress and lots of other things, which we're going to cover in some other videos after this.
