Bridger Pennington argues that entrepreneurship drives GDP growth and reduces poverty, especially in developing nations. He cites a Black Card group that built entire food-supply chains across Africa by controlling production from farm to retail, made possible through a dedicated fund.

This shows economic growth with entrepreneurship. There's a direct, very strong correlation with increases in entrepreneurship, with increases of GDP and lowering poverty levels in third-world countries. We entrepreneurs are the ones who change the world, and entrepreneurs with a fund can do the most good. We have people in our Black Card group actually going out and building whole supply chains in Africa for consistent food production across the entire board. They decided, hey, we can't just be farmers. We can't just do the grocery stores. We're just going to buy the entire supply chain because that's the only way we can control it. And they needed a fund to do it. They came in, we built them a fund, and bam, they're buying the whole supply chain so they can have consistent food across a certain region of Africa. They took a problem personally.
