In this solo YouTube presentation, Bridger Pennington outlines a practical three‑stage framework for raising capital for a fund or deal. He first asks whether the founder is "in the right room" – i.e., has access to a network of potential investors. The second stage focuses on connecting with those investors and warming them up, addressing the awkwardness of approaching wealthy friends or acquaintances. The third stage covers the actual pitch, slide deck, and closing process, diagnosing why pitches may fail to convert. Pennington then invites viewers to book a consultation call, where his team (law firms, coaches, software tools, and pitch‑deck designers) can help implement the framework or refer them elsewhere. The video serves both as a diagnostic guide and a service offering for founders struggling with capital raising.

So, whenever somebody comes to me, Bridger, I'm struggling with raising capital, I think about our capital raising framework. We have the 3 stages of raising capital. It's our framework. So, number 1, I ask them, well, hold on. Step 1 is, are you in the right room? Are you around people with money? Are you in the room, in the area, in the vicinity of them? Okay, that's the first question. Maybe you have a network of people that have money, but I don't know how to connect with them and like warm them up. Because some people, like I have people like in my network like this. That are really good friends, very wealthy. But how am I going to bring up my fund or pitch them? Like there's this awkward, like what do I do? People you know they're wealthy. How do I bring this up? So that's number two: connecting with that person and warming them up to the possibility of investing in your fund. That's the second column. And then third is the actual like pitching close in your fund. So somebody comes to me, Bridger, man, I can't raise money. I go, what's the problem? They go, well, I get tons of people on my pitch. pitch call and we have tons of people and we go through the pitch, the slideshow, but no one closes. I go, okay, that's a step 3 problem. Let's focus a little bit deeper on step 3. But someone comes to me, well, Bridger, you know what? I know a bunch of people with money, but I don't know how to work the room or connect with them or warm them up to the idea. Okay, that's probably a number 2 problem or vice versa. Maybe I just don't know anyone. I don't even know where to start. How do I get in the room to even get around the people? So these are the 3 stages of raising capital.
