The next 10 days might be chaos for the markets. Today we have the inflation numbers published. Tuesday we have an official vote on the Clarity Act for crypto, and Wednesday we have a Fed rate decision. After today's news of CPI inflation, Polymarket has us at a 79% chance of a rate hike next week. This is in line with CME FedWatch tool that has us at an 86% chance of a hike. Markets are now seeing a base case of 4 interest rate hikes by July 2027. To put this into perspective, just a year ago we saw the exact opposite. We were thinking there was going to be 4 interest rate cuts. That's a huge— that's a 200 basis point difference between last year and this year's expectations. Now the big wrench in all this is Kevin Warsh just got approved by Trump and Bessett, and really like the main term from Trump was like, yo, don't raise rates, cut rates. And we have this new Fed chair who's held rates steady and now is potentially going to raise rates soon. In direct conflict of what kind of he was hired to do, not hired but appointed to do a few months ago. I don't know. Saddle up, buckle up, tie your shoes, whatever you need to do but get ready for the next 10 days. It should be quite interesting. Follow along to stay in the loop.
