Fund Launch LIVE 2024: Bridger Pennington

The transcript captures the opening session of Fund Launch Live 2024 in Orlando, hosted by emcee Devon Brown and featuring founder Bridger Pennington. Devon energizes the crowd with repeated greetings, audience interaction, and a call for networking, while repeatedly emphasizing the event’s purpose: to teach emerging fund managers how to launch and scale investment funds. Bridger delivers a motivational opening, describing the mindset, responsibilities, and moral obligation of fund managers, outlining the "Fund Launch Formula" (deal sourcing, framing, capital raising, then legal), and introducing the "mega framework" that stitches together dozens of sub‑frameworks (fund structures, investor types, licensing, risk‑return, etc.). He also highlights macro forces shaping the industry—political polarization, AI/robotics, crypto volatility, geopolitical conflicts, Chinese economic collapse, media consolidation, and massive dry‑powder capital and baby‑boomer wealth transfer. The session stresses networking, community building, and a growth‑mindset culture, with frequent audience participation, humor, and calls to action (write intentions, meet new people, give to receive). The tone is high‑energy, conversational, and motivational, with a blend of humor and serious strategic insight.

When I say hello, I want to hear hello back. Hello, ladies and gentlemen. With that, give yourselves a round of applause. Welcome to Fun Launch Live 2024. All right, you got to have a seat. Have a seat. Have a seat. I keep wanting to say good morning, but it's 12:01, so it's technically not morning anymore, but whatever. What's up? Woo! You guys good? All right, quick, quick show of hands. Quick show of hands. And I'm gonna get my timer on the screen as well. Quick show of hands. How many of you guys? This is your. How many guys have been to Fun Launch Live before? Show of hands. Show a lot. All right, make some noise for those people. Our returners. Show of hands. How many of you? This is your first Fun Launch Live. Show of hands. Oh, quite a few of you. Okay. Okay. So let me just say this. For those of you. Who have seen me before, great to see you again. For those of you who have never seen me before, I need to address the elephant in the room. Some of you are thinking to yourself, uh-oh, Bridger hired one of those guys that's going to make us stand up and do stuff. Yes. Also, you're welcome. Because here's why. This is a financial event. Yes. It's okay to answer. I promise. This is a financial event. Yes. Show me where it's written where financial events have to be boring. You better. Shamone. Oh, Pete. Did he just Michael Jackson on stage? I think so. Why? I don't know. We're just rolling with this. Okay. Now you can laugh. That's— this is hilarious. This is that kind of event when you are in a— how many of you have ever been to one of those boring conferences where it's like, where it's like this the whole time? Yeah, sorry, camera people, my bad. Uh, welcome to the stage our next speaker, Bob Smith. How many of you guys ever been to an event like that? Show of hands. Okay, yeah, this is not that. Just gonna let you guys know off the bat. Now I'm gonna struggle to get back up because I'm 45 and my knees are starting to hurt. That's another story for another day. All right, I need to stop messing around. I need to get to work. Okay. So, uh, for those of you who don't know me, good morning. My name is Devon Brown. I'm going to be your MC for the next 3 days. My job is to help you get the most out of this event. I'll tell you how I'm gonna do that. In just a little bit. But first, let's talk quickly about why you're here and how I ended up here on this stage in front of you. You see, a couple of years ago, I got a call from Bridger and the team at Funnel Launch, and they said, hey, Devon, we're doing this event. It's called Funnel Launch Live. We saw you emceeing another event, and we would love to have you host. Fun Launch Live. And I said, okay, that sounds kind of interesting. Tell me a little bit about Fun Launch Live. And the Fun Launch team went on to tell me, they said, well, Devon, what we're putting together is the premier event. Somebody say premier event. Somebody say it like you mean it. Wake up. Say premier event. They said, Devon, what we're doing is we're putting together the premier event For new and aspiring, existing, and current fund managers who want to launch or scale a fund. And while this event is primarily that, it's so much more. Bridger said, Devon, this event is for, is for, is for entrepreneurs who are looking for new and bigger and better ways to scale. It's for, it's for people in the world of investments. That are ready to step up and be with the big dogs. He said it's for anyone who wants to learn this world of finance from the best of the best. I said, okay, I can get with that. You got me on the edge. I'm almost— I'm this close to saying yes to emceeing Fund Launch Live. I said, but before I say yes, I need you to tell me about the audience. Who am I going to be on stage in front of? Because I'm picky about what audiences I'm in front of. They said, well, Devonta, let's do it this way. I'm gonna tell you how the Fun Launch team described you to me, and if that describes you, I just want you to raise your hand and say, that's me. Fair enough? One more time. Fair enough? Okay, so somebody practice one time. Raise your hand. Somebody just say, that's me. Go. Okay, that was okay. I saw about 30% of the room. Kind of weak, but that's okay. And I saw a lot of this. That's me. Y'all know what this is? These are T-Rex hands. Yeah, these are a no. We're gonna raise our hand like we're sure, like we're like a 1980s deodorant commercial. Some of you won't get that joke. Because you're not old enough to. Some of you got it and you know it's hilarious. So let's try that one more time. Somebody raise your hand, say, that's me. There we go. So what they said, they said, Devon, the type of person who comes to Funnel Launch Live is the type of individual who has a growth mindset. They're always looking to grow. They're always looking to expand. If that's you, raise your hand, say, that's me.
That's me.
They said, Devon, the type of person who comes to Funnel Launch Live is the type of individual who understands that their net worth is in direct relation to their network. And if you want to level up your net worth, you got to get in the right room around the right people. You got to get around the right network. If you understand that, raise your hand, say, that's me. They said, Devon, the kind of person Who comes to Fun Launch Live is the kind of person who takes action. There are people who hear brilliant ideas and think to themselves, "My goodness, that's a great idea. I might not want to do that one day, maybe." And there are others who hear brilliant ideas and go running towards them at full speed. Those are the action takers. You see, Devon, the kind of person who comes to Fun Launch Live is an action taker. If that's you, raise your hand. Say that's me. And last but not least, they said, Devon, the kind of person who comes to Fun Launch Live is the kind of person who is extremely sexy. If you sexy, raise your hand. Say, that's me. All right. I heard some of somebody in the back. One of the ladies in the back was like, he's talking about me. Hey, how'd he know? That's why I'm here. I see you, girl. All right. You do. Do you preach? I know some of the fellas is like, yeah, he ain't lying, bro. What? He know I'm sexy. My man up in here, shorts and a hat, like, he know. He's like, yeah, I'm feeling you, brother. So I said, okay guys, well, if that's what this event is about, if this event is full of a bunch of growth-minded people who are action takers and who are sexy to boot, count me in. And fun fact, they did not lie. You guys are super sexy. Give yourselves a round of applause for that. So like I said, my name is Devon Brown and my job is to help you get the most out of this event. There are 3 ways I'm going to help you do that. How many ways? How many ways? 3 ways I'm going to help you do that. The first way I'm going to help you do that is that I'm not going to do my job. Let me explain. That is not a woo. That is— that was not an applause line, I promise. But thank you for that. Um, my job title is MC. What does MC stand for? Master of ceremonies. Master of ceremonies. That's right. I'm not going to be your MC. Instead, I'm going to be your ME. ME stands for Master of Energy. My job is to influence the energy in the room, because the more energy in the room, the more engaged you are. The more engaged you are, the more you learn. The more you learn, the more success you have. The more success you have, the bigger impact you make. Does that make sense? Yes. It all starts with energy. Thank you. Yeah, you can clap for that one. Yeah. It, it starts with energy. So like I said, this is not going to be— you know what I just realized? I can walk all the way over here. I just realized that it's been here the whole— you guys good? I'm like, I'm messing up the camera, people. I'm sorry. You guys are going to hate me before these 3 days are over. I'm going to come back over here. All right. So number one, I'm going to be the ME, not the MC. That's the first way I'm going to help you get the most out of this event. Second way I'm going to help you get the most out of this event is I'm going to be in charge of the what to be, where to be, when to be, all that good stuff. Somebody do me a favor. Take a deep breath in. Exhale out. Give me everything you're concerned about, about what to be and where to be. Here's all I need you to do. Hear me on this. Be in this room. Be present. When it's time to be here in this room in session, be in here. When it's time for networking, which the team has set up tons of time for you guys to do, network. That's how you get the most of this event. As far as where to be, when to be, leave that up to me. I'll take care of that. All you need to know is that when we're in session and there's somebody on the stage, be in here, that's where you're going to get the most. And when we're not in session and it's networking time, network. That's where you're going to make the most. Make sense?
Yes.
Excellent. Now, the 3rd way I'm going to help you get the most out of this event is I'm going to have the honor and the pleasure of introducing a bunch of amazing speakers to the stage. Now, those of you guys who have seen me host events before, you know that I have but one rule when I host events, and that is this: when I bring somebody to the stage, You welcome them to the stage with the same love and the same energy that you would want and expect as if I were welcoming you to the stage. So think about it in your head real quick. If I were bringing you to the stage, how would you want the crowd to react? Would you want them sitting or standing? Standing. Would you want them slowly standing up or quickly standing up? You'd want them shooting out of their seats, right? Would you want them jumping up and down, or would you want them flat-footed if I were bringing you to the stage?
Jumping.
Jumping up and down. Would you want them rock concert clapping or golf clapping? Which would you want? Rock concert clapping. So here's what we're going to do. We're going to practice this one time. I'm going to say, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the stage, you. And you're going to show me how you're going to respond whenever I bring somebody to the stage. Now, here's the kicker. First person to stand up and make the most noise Wins 1,000 hugs. Okay, I'm making half this up as I go along. All right, so I gotta stretch. All right, so we're gonna practice this. You guys better shoot up. You get this right on the first time for me. All right, all right, so that's what I'm talking about. Too early, but I love the energy. A little early, but I love the energy. All right, you hang on to that, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the stage, you. Yes. All right. Yes, I love it. You guys got that right on the first time. I love it. All right, we don't have to practice. Some events I gotta practice like 2 or 3 times. It's annoying. All right, you guys rock. So that's how we're gonna get the most out of this event. Now, a couple of things, like I said. Remember, the magic happens in this room. One of the things that happens at this event is this event was designed for you guys to get networking. There will be plenty of time for that when we're in session. Make sure we stay in session. We're gonna go through— there's a lot of stuff that we're gonna go through. If you gotta run to the bathroom while somebody's speaking, that's okay. Just run out, come back. You're a big boy, big girl. We don't have to tell you guys how to go to the bathroom on your own. You're fine. But don't get stuck out there. Be back in here or you might miss some magic. I'm gonna give you guys Some awesome stuff. I'm gonna have prizes for when we're back on time. We're gonna talk about social media and all that stuff. But for now, what I want to do is I want to get this party started. If you're ready to get this party started officially, put your hands together for me. Make a little bit of noise. The gentleman I'm about to bring to the stage is one of the reasons that we are all here in this room. Together. This young man is absolutely extraordinary. He is the founder of not one, not two, but 3 investment funds, and those funds have done in excess of 200 deals. He has taught over 70,000 students. He is the founder of Fund Launch, and Fund Launch— check this out because this is what it's all about— Fund Launch in the last 2 years has helped in excess of, of 200 of you— and oh, actually it's over 210 of you— launch funds in 2 years. And what he's going to share with you over the next 3 days, it's going to start with his very first talk today, which you're going to discover Over the course of the next 3 days is you're going to discover what he calls his mega framework. This framework was specifically designed to help you launch and/or scale your fund in the easiest and most efficient way possible. So as you stick with us over the course of the next 3 days, that's what you're going to learn, and I'm excited for you. So here's what we're going to do. We're going to watch a short video. that the team has put together. You're going to learn a little bit more about Bridger, especially if this is your first time meeting him. And on the other side, we're going to blow the roof off this place when we bring him to the stage. Sound good? Yes? I love it. Let's watch.
They never said it would be easy. This game we're talking about here is not for the faint of heart. Managing other people's money is not easy. Fighting volatile markets is not easy. Raising capital is not easy. Taking on the markets head-on is not for everyone. 99.9% of people in the world do not run funds, and they never will. They do not have the innate capacity to do it. They do not have the mental fortitude to do it. They are much better off aligning with an entrepreneur Who is crazy enough to build something big. And that's okay. There's no shame in that at all. So you better have a reason why you're running. Running from the game you're in or running to the game that you see here. I had a reason to run. There was a voice inside of me that I could not shut off. There are those of us who want to be part of the crazy 1%. Who want to say, I want to take on the responsibility of managing tens of millions of dollars of investor capital. I want to be the one who can't shut it off at night. I want to be the one who's responsible on a Saturday afternoon when my employees are playing at the beach with their children, who has to worry about making payroll on Monday morning of $1 million. I want to be that person. If you're going to go down this path, You better be committed to something big. It can't be, I just want to make money, because the reality is most entrepreneurs fail. Most businesses fail. They fail to make more money for themselves than they would've made working for someone else. It's the only game ever built where you would trade working 40 hours a week in a safe job to work 100 hours a week for yourself. And that's what draws us crazy 1% to this game. Because most businesses fail, but you don't have to be the one who fails if you choose something different—not because you want to, but because you have no other choice for yourself, your family, and your legacy. So get ready for the next three days because we're gonna go all out. If you're drawn to what we're doing here at Fund Launch and you're here at Fund Launch Live, there's a good chance that you're part of the one percent. Crazy. I don't want to be the first to say welcome home. Welcome to Fund Launch Live. You have to want to be here. You have to want to start a fund.
Fund Launch Live is not like other Ladies and gentlemen, get on your feet, put your hands together, help me welcome to the stage Bridger Pennington!
Thank you.
Keep it going for him, everybody! Give it up! Give it up! All right, Ben.
So let's dive in. You guys are a pretty interesting group of people, emerging fund managers. I did some data on y'all. And by the way, before I dive in, this event— I got to just tell you a little bit about this event. I'll talk a little bit more. We've designed this event in a very unique way. Uh, this event is going to be unlike any other event you've ever been to, even our previous Funnel Launch Lives. What we're going to do at this event, number one, we have brand new content we're going to share. But additionally, every single speaker you're going to hear today dovetails into the next speaker. The idea for you to fly— I know a lot of you, you're leaving your home, spouses, kids, and work to come and be with us in person, which is pretty cool. I don't take that responsibility lightly. If you're going to travel to Orlando and spend time with me and us on stage, I'm going to try to make it the most impactful 3 days of your life. So, some events you come to, there's some hype-up speakers and other stuff and a lot of fluff. This event, we're going to try to go a lot into content and do a lot to move and shift the needle in your life. I've been the beneficiary of many events that I've gone to that have actually shifted the way I've thought about the world and helped me drastically move things in what I was doing. That's the plan for the next 3 days. So this event's going to— I'll talk about in a few minutes how it's designed, but it's going to be much different than previous events you've come to. It's going to be kind of fun. I want a little teaser now. I was doing some research on y'all, and y'all I mean is emerging fund managers. Fund managers that are less than $1 billion would be called emerging fund managers. First, second, third-time fund managers. What's interesting is statistically emerging fund managers actually outperform funds over $1 billion. You guys know that? On a percentage basis. So I pretty much every metric you can track, emerging smaller fund managers outperform larger funds. Pretty interesting. This is kind of cool. The stage goes all the way over here. I'm gonna come over here and point at this. Okay. They're usually in smaller markets that are more efficient and lead to greater potential and alpha and opportunities, which is kind of interesting. You emerging fund managers actually have a very unique place in the ecospace of the world of finance, which is kind of cool. So clap it up for y'all for crushing it. Okay, that's pretty cool. Now, over the next 3 days, I want to discuss topics that are very prevalent to right now. There are certain things on social media and other places that you cannot really discuss, and things that are taboo, or you'll get banned or shadowbanned. When we're in-person event, I think it's kind of cool. We're going to actually dive into topics that are Maybe even controversial, but somewhat pressing. Now, I don't care if you're right-wing or left-wing. I don't care if you're pro-guns or anti-guns or pro-life or pro-choice. I don't care. Okay? But what I want to do is discuss topics that matter that are going on right now, because a lot of these topics drastically are going to affect our funds and portfolios in a huge way. For example, like the first one, the southern border. Okay? We have 300,000 people a month coming across the southern border right now. That's a big macro shift in the world. I want to talk about it. That's going to affect your portfolios and what you are doing right now. Does that kind of make sense? I want it— I want over the next 3 days, we have a number of speakers that are going to talk about these topics and we can discuss them in this room together. Does that sound cool? Be cool if we do this in a fun kind of way too, because we live in a freaking crazy world right now. Anybody else, or is it just me? One of the craziest things, the craziest thing is This great country of ours, USA. We've looked high and low. You clap it up for USA, USA, USA. We got Rylan here from—he's from Canada. So my Canadian people, I'm half Canadian. I'm half Canadian. My mom's from Canada. So go Canada. Okay, the better half. I love it. But we have in America, for you guys that don't know, we are right below you guys in America. We've looked high and low for the best people in our whole country. And what's crazy is we found them. They're right here. Our next, you know, 2 presidential candidates. We'll see if we— my clicker can work here. Help on the clicker. There we go. So we have a— let me go back a little bit. Can you help me out on the clicker here? So we have a Biden-Trump rematch going on, which is insane. This is insane. We have— we can't find anybody better, apparently. This is our 2 best. We've got someone who has dementia and is senile and has said a lot of racist comments for the last 30 years. Okay. We also have Orange Man, who's also said a lot of racist comments the last 30 years. That's who we've got. This is going to be really fun. And this is 6 months away. Can you believe that? We're already back. Doesn't that feel like yesterday? Like, it's, it's insane. We are 6 months away, and we have, you know, Bobby Kennedy as well as maybe a third candidate as well, which is pretty interesting. So you guys saw a little, little spoiler there. But, um, I was listening to a comedian on YouTube the other day, and I wanted to share. He, he kind of puts into perspective just the, the state of the world that we're in. So I'm gonna roll this next video if you guys get the sound up. Um, we'll see if it rolls. Uh, talking about Biden and Trump. Trump gave what I think was probably one of the greatest speeches a world leader's given. You know, it's got to be up there with like Churchill, Gettysburg Address. The night the United States killed the leader of ISIS, Trump comes out of the Situation Room at like midnight, like he gives a press conference, like he's giving a postgame NBA, just goes, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead.
He died like a dog.
I didn't change one word of that. That's what he opened with, and then he did 40 minutes. The speech is 40 minutes. The meanest shit talk you've ever heard in front of the whole world. Abu, we can hear him crying.
I said, Abu, don't cry.
Let me tell you something. Abu cried.
He cried quite a bit. I wouldn't have cried. Right, baby, back daddy.
That's what we were all calling. All right, so that's what we got on, uh, to look forward to. The debates is gonna be— well, we'll see if they debate. Hopefully they debate, but, uh, it's gonna be pretty fun. Um, now you Biden fans, you're not off the hook either. He's got another clip on Biden here, so we'll roll, uh, we'll roll this one. Can you guys hear it okay? The audio, is that good? Okay, okay, we'll, we'll see if we can get to this next clip here. You guys can help me on the back end.
My favorite thing about Biden is any, any time Biden finishes a speech, he transforms into a Roomba.
So there we have it. This is the best we got, people. That's what we're working with. Um, oh, we saw that a few weeks ago. We were dying laughing, my family. We were watching Shane Gillis do this. Oh, it's so good. Um, so anyways, that's where we're at. We're gonna discuss though the political effects of what's going on with a Biden versus Trump rematch. Um, additionally, we're seeing huge advances in AI and robotics right now. We saw, uh, Boston Dynamics put out a video just yesterday, this humanoid robot that's walking around, had this crazy— anybody see that video from Boston Dynamics? Holy It's kind of scary actually how quickly things are progressing with AI and robotics. We're going to discuss this. Blockchain and crypto, major— also crypto fans. Yeah, crypto, let's go. It's been a tough 2 weeks though, man. We're down 30% in like 2 weeks. That was tough. I run a crypto hedge fund currently. We manage just about $25 million right now in my hedge fund. But we have the Bitcoin happening, or the Bitcoin halving tomorrow. It's kind of cool. Previously, the 3 halvings have kicked off the major bull rallies the last 3 cycles. So I'm That's tomorrow, which is kind of fun. During this event, nothing crazy happens. It just—they cut rewards in half. But I don't know. Fireworks will go off. I don't know. Something will happen, which would be pretty fun. So this is what's going on right now. Additionally, we have two major wars happening in Israel, Ukraine. We have conflict all over the world right now, which is pretty interesting. Again, these things affect what we are doing. They affect our portfolios. What is going on across the world? And and you know, kind of devastating to watch online. I am last weekend. There was a major attack from Iran on Israel. If you guys saw, there was a drone, like 200 drones came over. And I saw this meme after about this. So obviously the United States and allied forces came kind of to the defense of Israel. And so obviously our— I saw this meme, it was Israel, our tax dollars were, you know, defending, right, these drones. But if you guys remember, Biden sent— see if we can go to my next slide here. $6 billion to Iran a couple months ago. You guys remember this? And so this meme, it was kind of funny. I was like, huh, that's interesting. Like, huh, that's just interesting. You know, I'm happy that we are funding both sides of the war. It's really cool how that works. Um, so there we go. But, but I will say this, some bright news, uh, just came out from Chicago. So as you guys know, Chicago and the Middle East are deep, have deep ties together. As you guys know, they worked for, you know, must have been days together. But if you guys didn't hear this, it's pretty cool. The Chicago City Council got together. You guys hear this? Like groundbreaking news. The Chicago City Council, pretty involved with the Middle East, got together and voted and said, we're going to pass a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. So what I'm hearing is Hamas—they're laying down their weapons. Netanyahu—they're putting their weapons. No one, no one dare go against the Chicago City Council. You know, they they solved it, which is so clapping up for the Chicago City Council. I mean, come on! Solving world issues. I thought that was pretty cool. Anyways, we got a lot of things going on in the world. China right now going through a. See if you can help me on the clicker there, people. Thank you. China collapsing right now. China's going through a major economic collapse. Goldman Sachs just put out a report. Every single public developer for real estate in China is currently in default. Every single one of them. Goldman Sachs just published a report. I mean, that's pretty significant. They are— now, again, the economic data that comes out of China, you have to sometimes look at it. It's not always Directly accurate, but it's pretty interesting what's going on in China right now. So we're going to discuss this over the next couple days, and I've got no jokes on China because I want my social credit score to be good when I go to China. So Xi Jinping, if you're watching, we love you guys. You guys are awesome. Okay, keep up the good work over there. All right, so gotta keep my credit score good if I'm going over there anytime soon. Okay, next slide over here. Inflation, the dollar. We're talking about inflation, the dollar. My dad's gonna be speaking just a little bit. Did you guys get the book on your? You guys get that book? Kind of cool free gift. So that's my dad's new book. He's going to talk about it in a little bit. Dollars, Gold, and Bitcoin. I think you guys will really love this talk. Kind of new updates that's going on. If you guys came in the past, go to one of the best talks at FunnelHacks Live, which is pretty cool. Additionally, we have 3 companies. You can go to the next slide here. Taking over the world. I've talked about this a few times on my thing. We have Vanguard, State Street, and BlackRock that are buying up pretty much everything. These 3 companies control currently about 40% of shareholder vote on the S&P 500. 40%. I mean, it's, and it's climbing every single day, which is pretty significant. If you can go to my next slide, please. If you look at the top companies here between Microsoft, Amazon, Google, any company you look at, the top shareholder is Vanguard. Second is BlackRock, which is kind of interesting, and what they can do. So you might say, well, that they're through ETFs, but what happens is If one of these 3 companies wants to push a certain agenda, what do they do? They say, hey, we want to push an ESG initiative about a decade ago. And if you're a CEO of a Fortune 500 company and you don't comply with what we want, well, we're just going to start selling your stock. And your 2 or 3 biggest shareholders are going to pull out their positions. If you're a CEO, your job is to produce value to the shareholders, correct? You're kind of pushed in a certain direction, which is kind of interesting, right? These 3 companies, that's how they take control over markets. Now, where's my real estate people in here? Yeah. Okay, real estate people, this is happening to your market as well. So on the next slide here, in 2021, 1 in 7 residential homes were purchased by Wall Street. In 2022, it was 1 in 5. Last year, we're still getting the data in. They're guessing it's about 1 in 3 purchased by large funds on Wall Street. Pretty interesting. There is mass consolidation happening in markets right now, which is kind of, kind of scary to some degree. If you look at some of the groups that have had mass consolidation in the past already, so we have TV and news networks, food and food production have already been consolidated. Things like accounting, like if you've ever heard of the Big 4 accounting firms, the reason there's Big 4 is because they bought up everybody else. Okay. Things starting to consolidate right now. Car washes, Amazon sellers, dentists. There are hundreds of— they're called DSOs, dental roll-ups that are being rolled together right now. Food franchises, chiropractic, real estate, even social media accounts. You guys know there's big groups that are buying up hundreds of social media accounts right now, and they keep the accounts the same. They don't look any different, but the backend owner changes. Kind of freaky. You think you're following all these different accounts, and really it's one or two people plugging in a certain feed. This is kind of eerie. I think this next video kind of puts it together a little bit just on TV and news. We think we watch local news networks. This video, I think, kind of puts into perspective. So we're going to get the audio ready. We'll roll this one. Plugging our country. The sharing of biased and false news has become all too common on social media. More alarming, some media outlets publish the insane fake stories without checking facts first. The sharing of biased and false news has become all too common on social media. Unfortunately, some members even use their platforms to share their own personal bias and change agenda to control the truth. That's one lethal thing, and this is extremely dangerous to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy. Ooh, they give you kind of the Willards a little bit, like heebie-jeebies. Kind of scary, though, right? You think you're hearing all these independent news networks and they're all saying the same things. Again, I don't care if you're right-wing or left-wing. This is, I think, bigger topics we need to discuss. If you look at media giants right now, there's only a handful of companies that pretty much control every media outlet me and you watch. These are the formerly 6, and then Disney bought 21st Century Fox, 5 media giants that control pretty much every major brand that me and you watch on TV. I'll go through this kind of quick, but it tells a point of— look at the next slide here, food and food production brands. So I'll go back one, see if my little clicker here works. Food and food production, pretty crazy. We think we're shopping all these different brands, they're really controlled just by a handful of people. Uh, car brands, 14 car companies own every brand pretty much on Earth. If I zoom in a little bit here, you see FCA owning Fiat and Maserati. And I'll come down here, Volkswagen's probably the biggest one. They own Lamborghini, Bugatti, Porsche, Bentley, Seat and Audi, all owned by the same. And guess what? It's Audi, by the way. It's not Audi. Okay. Audi. All right. I know people are gonna say, oh, Bridger, it's Audi. You should say it Audi. No, it's Audi. Okay. It's an Audi. Me and Mason had an Audi R8 for a while. It's an Audi R8. Okay. It's not Audi. All right. Audi. Okay. But if you're like, screw Audi, I'm gonna go get a Porsche, you're shopping from the same company. Okay, it's all the same conglomerates. Okay, so Bridger, the next question is like, how do you, you know, how do we play in this game? How do we do this? Like, what do we, you know, how do we get in this space? So right here, retail investors in 2010 roughly had 11% of the equities markets were owned by retail investors. Do you see that big spike on that graph there? That's after COVID. A lot of us during COVID started home gaming and trading stocks and stuff. During COVID though, it jumped to over— can you hit the next slide for me? 25% of all equities markets. Pretty cool. We the people are starting to shake and shift markets a little bit, which is kind of cool. Wall Street's had to pay attention to what retail investors are doing now because we're a lot bigger player in the space. For example, Disney, I think, is the greatest example of this. Anybody go to Disneyland last— Disney World last few days? Kind of fun. My parents on Monday, I'm like, Dad, where you at? You come to Floss Live? Like, yeah, we're at Disney World, we're having a great time. Anyways, they're all having a good time. So, um, Disney though is a great example of this. This is Disney stock since March of 2021. They've had a 71% difference between the S&P 500 and Disney. $219 billion drop in market cap. Pretty significant. Um, you clap it up. Actually, let me ask you, who, who just clapped back here? Why did you clap that up? They deserve it. Let's get that. Actually, I'm gonna come down here, grab a mic real quick. I love it. Can we get a mic runner? You want me to stay seated? You can stand up. Put your face really close to Bridger. Oh, what's up? Good to see you. Good to see you. How you doing, Fred? Yeah. Where are you from, Fred? Uh, St. George, Utah. St. George, Utah. I'm from Utah as well. Yeah, I'm up north a little bit. Good to have you here. Do we have a mic? Any mic runner? Oh, here we are. Okay. Why, why do you not like Disney? Disney's a great company. They have Disney World. It's so great. Why did you not like Disney? I think it's because they lost a connection with their true customer, which is the family. Yeah. And how so? How did they lose that connection? Do you have kids? Yeah, 4 kids. You have 4 kids? Congrats. What ages? 18 down to 10. Wow. Wow. That's amazing. I love it. That's okay. I have one son, 2 and a half years old. I would agree with you. Lost connection with families. Why? Why did you see that in your family? Sorry. Why did you— what— how did Disney lose the connection with your family, for example? Well, the way they lost it with me was trying to mix political agenda with principles, with, with principles that I want to teach my kids. Yeah, I love it. And it sounds like a few people agree with you. Sorry, I'll wait. It sounds like a few people agree with you. And I would agree as well. Yeah. You know, if I want to go, I want to go watch Incredibles. I don't want freaking political content in Incredibles. You know, I just want to go watch Incredibles and have a good time. You're exactly right. Last year, 15 million people in the first 2 quarters canceled their Disney+ subscriptions last year. I was one of them. You were one of them. Pulled out. And what's cool about this, now again, I don't care if you're left-wing or right-wing, I just don't want political content in my kids' shows. And it shows right here on this graph, 71% off of the S&P 500 from Disney, which is kind of cool. The fight of the retail investors, us, Pushing back against corporations like Disney. Thank you so much. Clap it up one more time. Thank you. Good job. We'll get that mic right here. Thank you. Hey, what's up? Good to see you. We have a packed house, by the way. All you people standing, good to see y'all. We are full. So if you guys can help me out for a second, if you have a seat open next to you, can you guys scoot into the middle of the rows and leave the outside rows open? Is that okay? We have quite a few people standing. People that are standing, if you want to start walking on the halls and grab a seat just on the edges. If you have a seat next to you, can you guys just scoot in for a second? We have a sold-out house today here in Orlando, which is pretty fun. Um, let me see you. So come on in, grab a seat, and we'll move back up here. We've seen this fight of the, the retail investor. Thank you guys. Come grab a seat. So this is how we fight back, the people, which is kind of cool. We hold power. We vote with our wallets. Now, this is why I believe we need more people to launch funds.
Yeah.
Because you clap that up. Because we can protest or get mad, but how many protests are there a week? I mean, every day there's a new protest, right? I feel like protests have lost their weight. You can call your congressman or congresswoman. Again, I think they get a lot of those calls. I think what we can do to affect the world is use the same tools that these companies use to already consolidate power. And a lot of them use investment funds or pooling capital together. Exactly what we're talking about for the next 3 days. And we are moving towards a world where it's going to be controlled by just a few individuals. And we need good people like us to use these tools to decentralize Wall Street. But Bridger, wait, aren't you like the fun guy? Aren't you part of the problem? Maybe I am, but my opinion is this. I love capitalism. I believe capitalism has produced some of the best products and things in the world. I'm a huge capitalist. I love capitalism when it's actually capitalist. Capitalism has produced some of the best societies the world's ever built. The problem right now is we are moving away from capitalism to a duopoly or a triopoly where only 2 or 3 companies control everything. That's not capitalism. I'm okay with 10,000 funds independently competing and fighting against each other. I'm okay with that. I'm not okay with 3 funds controlling the whole market. Does that make sense? And that's why what we're doing at Fund Launch Live is so important. The funds you will start will affect my life. They actually will. We are going to help change this world. The funds that I run will hopefully affect your lives. So what you're doing today and being here and spending time and opting in and like sitting down and taking— like, this is important not just for you to go out and make some money, which is cool. I hope you guys make tons of money. But it's important for me and my kids and hopefully my grandkids one day. It's important to my posterity. And what I do is important to you and your kids and your grandkids and great-grandkids. You've flown out here, you're in Orlando. This is not just for you. This is for your family members back home, your kids, your associates, your business partners. What we do is massive, and that's why we call ourselves— you guys see our branding and stuff, you can go to the next slide for me— the Wall Street Rebels. This is why we call ourselves— you see like our shirts and stuff— Wall Street Rebel. It's pretty fun. That's what we mean by Wall Street Rebel is this. Okay. Now, Bridger, well, how do we play? How do we get going in this game? So a few things that are, that are going on right now that actually are majorly in your favor, in our favor right now, currently in 2024. Number one, we have major dry powder spiking again, $3.7 trillion in dry powder waiting to be deployed. Now, Bridger, what is dry powder? What does that mean? Dry powder is, let's say I ran a billion-dollar fund. If we deployed $100 million and we still had $900 million to deploy, that would be the dry powder we have to deploy. Does that make sense? $3.7 trillion in 2024 of dry powder waiting to partner and come into your deals with you. These are fund managers that already have this money that are looking for good people like you to partner with and get in the game with, which is kind of cool. The next thing, which is pretty cool, if you go to my next slide, the baby boomer wealth transfer right now is massive. Forbes just put out an article here that said— oh, let me go back one. You can help me on the slides. The silent generation, which is above the boomers, which I don't— why are they called the silent generation? Anybody know? They just pretty quiet. They don't talk much or what? And then the baby boomers. Okay. See, no one said anything because they're all silent. I was waiting for somebody to shout it out. The silent generation. Okay. And the baby boomers, they're passing down $84 trillion. Trillion with a T. Trillion. Which I don't even know how to like It's hard to compute what a trillion dollars is. $84 trillion of them are dollars are passing down for the next 20 years. Some of this is through inheritance. Some of this is through death. A lot of it is through businesses that want to sell or transition to a younger generation. There are a lot of baby boomers and silent generation that have businesses that they've ran for 20 years that want to transition to people in this room. It's kind of cool. A speaker in just a few minutes is going to talk about how to actually approach and get these deals and buy from baby boomers, which is going to be kind of fun. Okay, this is how we play in this game. I think we have a massive tidal wave of money that should, I think, flow into our pockets. Isn't that kind of cool? That's what's kind of going on for the next little bit, which can be fun. Now, um, this is kind of our mission, what we're doing. I'm excited to do it with you guys, the Wall Street Rebels. Clap it up for yourselves, y'all. This is what we're doing together. Now briefly, just on me, if you guys have never met me before, my name is Bridger Pennington. I'm the founder of— I founded a couple of things. I'll just give you my backstory just for a second, just so you know who I am. I founded Blackbridge Holdings, 2 different funds there, had a 64% return to my first investors, actually sold those funds. So I had a competitor, a buyer come in, buy those funds, had a nice little exit there. We started Fund Launch. We've had 70,000 people take one of our courses at Fund Launch, which is pretty cool. We've launched 210 funds in the last 2 years just out of Black Card. Where's my Black Card members? Raise your hand. Just from you guys. That's pretty cool. Not everybody else, just Black Card. We've launched 210 funds in the last 2 years, which is pretty cool. And I, and, and we're there. Ugly Unicorn. I run that with Dan Young. Where's Dan? Right here. Raise your hand, Dan. Dan Young's my business partner. He'll be tomorrow talking on stage. It's pretty fun. We run a crypto hedge fund. We currently manage roughly $25 million in assets there. And then we just launched Fund Launch Partners. We've already invested into 3 deals. This is a GP stakes fund. We're actually looking to invest into funds that are in Black Card with you guys in this group. It's kind of cool. Okay. That's what I currently do right now. This is a— oh, let me go back one. This is my business partner, Mason Brains. We have roughly a quarter million on social media and we do this. If you, by the way, if you see Mason in the hallway, give him a noogie. He loves— he got that floppy hair, so go mess it up for him. He loves that when people just touch him randomly in the hall. It's like his favorite thing. So if you see him, make sure to do that. He loves it. He'll be out a little bit. This is kind of our social media accounts as well. Okay, so let's dive into what we're gonna be doing for the next couple days, how this event is designed and planned. Again, I mentioned this earlier. This has been a very unique process to design this event from speaker to speaker. So you can go to the next slide for me. So we started to centralize this around How can we, over 3 days, help someone completely move the needle from going out and building their entire fund? Almost— it feels like, for me at least, when I've built funds, it feels like you're putting together a puzzle with all these different pieces, and you're kind of trying to put this thing together, and you're grabbing something over here and something over here, and you're pulling this together. Well, we've had a lot of experience helping put funds together for people. And so when we started Fund Launch, I started to interview fund managers, people that were running investment funds. And what was interesting is I started to see commonalities, certain patterns that these successful funds used to launch their funds. And I started to organize this into a formula. And it's not— we didn't invent this formula. It's more like we discovered this formula. Okay? And we finally coined it and called it the Fund Launch Formula. If you can go to the next slide for me. We put this together. And now some of you have heard this before. I'm going to go through it very quickly and then we're going to go way deeper. Does that sound good? Okay. So the Fund Launch Formula, what we found was, actually, audience poll. If you went on Google and just Googled how to launch a fund, what pops up? Shout it out. Like, what's the first thing you would do? Sorry, that's the question. What's the first thing you would do? You want to launch a fund? First thing you do?
Legal.
Legal. Hire a lawyer. Right? A lot of you guys said that. If you go read a blog, a little blog writer gets on their little thing, go hire a lawyer. And what they tell you, hire a lawyer, put the legal docs together. Hopefully you go raise money. If you don't, well shoot, you're kind of stuck with this expensive legal bill and you go from there. Okay? That's what most blogs will tell you, which is completely wrong. That's what no one did when we interviewed them. That's actually not the process they follow. And what's funny, like you look at these blog writers, They've never launched a fund before. They're blog writers. They write blogs for livings. Okay? When you talk to people that actually ran funds, they didn't follow that process at all. And it's like, dude, I hate these blog writers. Like, come on. And so we started to formulate actually legal— what you guys said in the Fund Launch Formula was the last step, step number 4. And here it is on the screen for you. What most successful fund managers did was step 1, find an incredible deal, work out their thesis, what their thesis would be. We're gonna talk about this more in a second. Number 2, they would frame that thesis out. What's the structure? What's the catch-up, the prep, the carry interest, all that kind of stuff? Number 3, they would then go pitch and try to raise capital. Now, how does this work in real time? And I'll do kind of both sides for you. So number 1, If you went to a lawyer first and did this backwards, you go to step 4 first. Come right here so you can see me a little better. You go to step 4 first. You're going to walk into a lawyer's office. They're going to say, hey, welcome in. You go, I want to launch a fund. They go, great, let's do it. Hey, do you want to do an American or European waterfall? Do you want to do a 506 or a 506 or a 3, a 3, or a 3? Which one do you want to do? Do you want to raise from non-accredited investors or accredited or qualified purchasers? Which group are you raising from? Do you want to do an international feeder fund structure, parallel? Like, what do you want to do? And you go, I don't know. What's, what's best? You tell me, lawyer. And they go, oh, I'd love to teach you about this. It's $1,000 an hour. And so, and lawyers typically talk very slow, methodical, and they're somewhat confusing. My brother's a lawyer, so I can make fun of lawyers. Okay. And they teach you for about $1,000 an hour. I had a friend, he told me, he said, my first fund, that's what we did. We— and he goes, we did this. They taught me about funds. It was like $30,000 to $50,000. Got my first set of docs done. I was like, great, I'm ready to go. He went to step 3, pitch and to raise capital. He started to talk to investors. And guess what happened? Investors started asking questions and wanted changes and to tweak it. And he's like, yeah, that's probably a good idea. Let's go back to lawyers and let's tweak it. And so they went back to the lawyers, the lawyers tweaked the documents. They then came back to— and they said, great, we'll tweak them for $1,000 an hour. And they tweaked all the documents. Then they came back and went to capital. And they kept— they did this process 3 or 4 times. His legal bill on his first fund was roughly $500,000 for his first fund. Now, roughly, I would estimate your legal bill should be about $30,000. That's in my experience. That's what I've seen for a first-time fund. $500,000. Why? Because he kept changing the documents and going back and forth with the lawyers. Okay, let me contrast that story with how we do it with the Fund Launch Formula and how most successful funds have launched. Is that cool? You guys with me so far? You're with me, say aye.
Aye.
All right, thank you. I gotta make sure we're awake a little bit. All right, so Fund Launch Formula, we have a great deal, we go frame it out, and stage 3 My suggestion is call up a few mentors, people you know, and say, hey, I'm thinking about doing a fund. Can I— do you have 11 minutes? I could run this fund by you and just give you the breakdown of how it looks. What you'll do— they say, you know what, yeah, I got 11 minutes. We hop on Zoom, I give them the pitch for 11 minutes, and you ask them to tear it apart, and they'll give you great feedback. And you're going to go back to step 1, deals. You go, oh man, we should rethink our deal a little bit. And then, oh, let's reframe it a little bit more. And then, hey, can I come back to you in 2 weeks? You come back to 2 weeks and you redo the cap, but you pitch somebody else again. And then you say, hey, would you invest? No, we're not quite ready to invest. Well, why not? Oh, well, we want this little change. You go back to step 2 and you change that again. Does that make sense? And then you go back to step 1. You do this in a loop, step 1, 2, and 3, until you have a high level of confidence that you are building a product that investors want to have. Anyone can go file documents and launch, launch a fund. The real question is, can you launch a fund that investors will want? It's a big difference. Can you actually build a product that investors are dying to have? People in Black Card know our goal on stage 3 is to get you roughly $2 million of verbal commitments. And what does that mean? Because you haven't done legal yet. You go 1, 2, 3. Hey, Matt. Hey, you love the investment. Great. Can I put you down for $100,000 in the fund? I'm hoping now. So you know what? Yeah. If legal gets done, put me down for a verbal commitment of $100 grand. Awesome. That gives me a degree of confidence that we actually have people that like this product. And then and only then we go to stage 4 legal and you walk into a lawyer's office and you go, hey, I want XYZ with a drink and a side of fries. Boom, bada bing, and they build it for you. Your fund's out in a couple weeks. Legal is actually, in my opinion, the easiest part when you've done the groundwork. Does that make sense? You guys following along so far? Okay, let's go to the next level. I know some of you guys have heard that before, so that's cool if we go a little bit deeper. He's what I'm excited about. Okay, so this is the, the base formula we've used for the Fund Launch Formula. Now, I love frameworks. I'm a big believer in frameworks and how frameworks are built and put together. If you look at any great teacher from history, Socrates, you could look at Jesus Christ, Buddha, like whoever, you can look at Tony Robbins. They all teach out of frameworks. Frameworks are a way that work throughout industries and across time. And what happens is a framework is something you can plug into. You can plug your own situation into it and it can produce a somewhat predictable outcome. Does that kind of make sense? So we started to find there were a lot of frameworks in the fund world. And you guys have seen some of these. I'll go through some of these kind of quick. Okay, these are some of the frameworks we're gonna discuss over the next 3 days. So we have the Fund Launch Formula. That's a framework, a step-by-step process that works. Doesn't matter what country you're in, what product— that process works. We've talked about the 3 roles of every fund. Okay, these are the 3 different people you need in every fund. We've talked about the 3 stages of raising capital where you have And then there's sub-frameworks. Work your way in or buy your way in, connect the room, and then close your investors. Okay? Other frameworks. Which investors are you gonna raise from? High net worth individuals, family offices, or institutions? How do those play against each other? International feeder funds. This is a framework with parallel funds. Okay? Syndications versus funds. This is a framework as well. If you're gonna do syndications or startups, and by the way, I wanna make this clear for a second. I know we're at Fund Launch Live to do a fund. It's okay if I love syndications And I love doing your first deal. That's okay. So if you're investing in your first business, that's totally great. And that's the beginnings of a private equity fund. If you're doing a day trader and doing maybe a hedge fund incubator, that's the beginning of doing a hedge fund. If you're investing into startups, that's the beginning of a venture capital fund. If you're doing private money lending or hard money lending, that's the beginnings of a private credit fund. And if you're buying 1 or 2 properties, that's the beginning of a real estate fund. So I, and I love both. I know I talk about funds a lot, but funds, syndications, all of it is in the same camp. Okay, as a framework, the fund, the launch checklist as a framework. Here we have which licenses do you need? Another framework. I'll go faster. These building your edge, that's kind of a new framework. Risk control return, another framework here. Okay, we're gonna be talking about over the next couple days, and some of these are new. You guys haven't seen these before. Reg D fund types, non-accredited investor funds, types of investors. These are all different frameworks. GPLP structure, waterfall structure, fund waffle. Structure. Okay, these are all different frameworks, and what we found— okay, so a couple months ago, I was in my office and I gaffed. I was like, Mason, like, get in here! We ran into like a whiteboard, we got a marker out, and we started to realize these frameworks all fit into the Fun Launch Formula. These are all steps in the formula you use to launch a fund. So we started to pop them into place. And if you look in this next slide, it's a little bit— you can use a camera to take a picture if you want. On this next slide, we started to pop in every single— if you can go to the next slide for me. There we go. Oh, go back one. Every single framework into this formula. Isn't that kind of cool? And we couldn't come up with a good name. We just kept calling it the mega framework. Like the king framework of all the other frameworks. And well, maybe you guys can help me think of a better name, but all of these frameworks actually fit into— so if you're on step number 1, finding deals, there's specific frameworks for step 1. Step number 2, if you're framing out your fund, there's specific frameworks you follow to make those decisions. Stage 3, if you're raising capital, specific frameworks you'll use to raise capital. And then stage 4, if you're launching your fund, there's specific frameworks to use there. Okay, kind of cool. So it's kind of fun. What we're gonna do for the next 3 days, every single speaker you're gonna hear from is gonna talk and teach on one of these frameworks. And what will happen from every single session to the next, it should plug together. I know this looks a little daunting right now. You're like, what even is that? Over the next 3 days, You'll have a great understanding of every single step of the process that you would use to go out and build a fund. Isn't that kind of cool? Okay, so every session we'll work together. We'll have intro videos and we'll actually introduce and make sure you understand where they fit on this, which is kind of fun. Okay, so that's the plan for the next 3 days. It's a very coordinated event, so each session is very coordinated to teach you on a different part of this. Part of the mega framework is what we're calling. Now, on that same note, I know a lot of you are here to obviously learn content and also to network. That's— we got feedback last year, I want more time to network. So what we did, just so you guys are aware, we have added longer networking sessions for y'all. So every single night we are having after— so we're not doing night sessions at all, we canceled all of our night sessions. We'll break for dinner and you guys will have— we're gonna do like, for example, tonight in these ballrooms right next door, we're doing asset class networking. So you're going to break up into our hedge fund group, private equity group, real estate group, and you can choose which group you want to go to and meet specific people in those groups. Tomorrow night we have roundtable discussions with all of the speakers and coaches. We'll all host a roundtable. You can go from person to person and talk and meet an incredible group of people. And the last night we have kind of a secret session. We're doing a secret kind of networking thing that we're doing, so I can't disclose that quite yet. That's kind of the plan. Every lunch and dinner, by the way, we're going to give you 2 full hours. So the idea is grab someone new. You flew out to Orlando, I'm sure, to learn great content, but I'm sure to meet some great people. This room is full of incredible people. We'll meet a few of them in just a few minutes. This room is amazing. Okay, grab someone. Am I extroverts in the room? Raise your hands for my extroverts. You can always hear the extroverts. Yeah, we're here. This is so fun. Okay, extroverts, grab, grab some of the introverts around you. Okay. Say, come to lunch, come to dinner with us, pull them with you, grab someone new, walk through stuff together. Okay? It's an amazing thing to be in a special room like, like y'all, like this is Fun Launch Live. People that come to Fun Launch Live are a very specific group of people. There's actually a reason we named the event Fun Launch Live, just so you're aware. We could have called it like General Finance Conference and we would have, you know, let's call it 10,000 people here. But it's very general. When you call it Fund Launch Live, you get a very niche-specific audience in a room, which is kind of fun. So that's what's cool. So grab some people around you. Our goal is that all of you will win this $10 million shoe award. This is for a $10 million fund or syndication. And we're in this later this afternoon, we're gonna do an award ceremony. They come on stage and get a picture of getting their custom pair of sneakers on stage as their award for the fund. And by the way, if you're in this room and need to apply for that, or you won that, I think my team in the back room can make sure you're on that list today for the— you just have to have proof that you've done it, some kind of undeniable proof. Okay, so is that cool? Doesn't look like a good plan for the next 3 days. Okay, I like it. You clap that up. Kind of fun. Now, um, I want to, uh, bring up back— kind of bring us back to this moral obligation. I think we have a moral obligation to go out and change the world. world. What you're doing is massive for right now. Um, I love this quote from Jay Abraham. If you truly believe that what you have is useful and valuable to your clients, then you have a moral obligation to try and serve them in every way possible. Kind of what I was talking about before. What you're doing in this room is very important. The next— I love this quote from Winston Churchill as well. To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do something very special. Do a very special thing. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared for, for that which could have been their finest hour. I hope this event is that tap on the shoulder for you. But actually, if you play small, it's doing a disservice not just to you, but your family, your kids, your parents, even me and my family. What we do affects one another. And you have a moral obligation to play big and to do this. So welcome to Fun Launch Live.
This is pretty cool.
What I want to do for a second is I want to make this clear, I think, too. We're gonna say some great things on stage today. It's gonna be awesome, and tomorrow, the next day. The best teacher, though, in this whole place is gonna be you. You will teach yourself more than all the speakers combined. So I'm gonna invite you to pay attention to the thoughts, impressions, things that come to your mind, whether you believe it's God or yourself or conscious, whatever you believe in. That will be the best teacher. So I want to just Before I break and get out of here, I want to open this up for a second. I want you to consider this question. Why did you actually come to Funnel Launch Live? If you can, for me, pull out a pen and paper, something to write with, a note. Don't check the score or the news or something. Try to pull something out and think through why did you actually come to Funnel Launch Live? And if you can, I'll put this on the screen. This will make it even a little more clear. I think we should start this event with purpose and intention. This is the last I'll do of like mindset stuff. Then we'll just dive straight into content.
Okay.
But write down, what are you hoping to get out of the next 3 days? I think we should be intentional with our time. Your time is the most valuable thing you have. Answer the question for me. What are you hoping to get out of Funnel Launch Live? Spend 30 seconds. Take a note, write it down. What are you hoping— be intentional with the next 3 days. What are you actually hoping to achieve from being here? You've spent some good money to be here. What are you hoping to achieve? Okay. And then follow up that with this. What are you hoping? You can go back one slide for me. What are you willing to give to receive that? Most things in life are somewhat of a give and take. What are you hoping to get out of the next three days, and what are you willing to give to receive that? Could be your time. You're going to wake up on time. You're going to make sure you whatever it is for you. What are you willing to give to receive what you wrote up top? If you got something, make eye contact with me. Just look up. Okay, most people got something. Good. I think this is good to be intentional with what you're doing. And again, I believe you're gonna— out of your own mouth, I think you'll do the most learning today. So What I want to do now— introverts, don't leave the room. I promise it's going to be okay. I'm going to ask you to lean in a little bit. What I want you to do— don't move yet. I'm going to have you stand up and I'm going to have you slowly turn. And if you make eye contact with someone, that's your person. Okay? I want you to talk to somebody that you did not come here with. Okay? Say hello, introduce yourself, and I want you to share what you did here. Again, I think it's— and then you can talk to them for a second and get to know them. Does that sound fair? Okay, you guys ready? Introverts, don't, don't flee the room. Okay, stay with me. We'll do this for like 2, 2 minutes, very quick, but I think it's important to start with intention. You guys ready? Okay, stand up, start turning, make eye contact with somebody, and share what you wrote down. Go. All right, start wrapping it up, start wrapping it up.
All right.
All right, come on back, come on back. You can make me hot. Come on back, come on back. If you can hear me, 2 clap. If you can hear me, do a two clap. If you can hear me, do a two clap. Come on back. Come on back. Take your seats. Take your seats. One more time. If you can hear me, do a two clap. All right, come on back. Come on back. Come on back. If you can hear me, do a two clap. Come on back. Fun room, hey? Uh, we're gonna do the connection. This event's gonna happen here in the room. I want to give you guys time to meet one another and talk. I want to actually talk to a few of you for a second. Is that cool? Come on back, come on back. Yeah, we get a mic right real quick. Can I get a mic? Oh, thank you. We got Adam coming over. How we doing? Do you mind sharing? Sure. What's your name? Oh, let's get the mic here. Oh, sorry, been tripping over people over here. Tell us your name real quick. Hal Matheson. Hal, good to have you here. Great to meet you. Where are you from? Uh, South Florida. South Florida. So you're relatively local? Yeah, Palm Beach. Okay, Palm— our Florida people love it. Yeah, Florida's pretty fun. Hey yo, I love it. Uh, so Hal, walk us through what You know, what are you hoping to get out of Fund Launch Live? Why'd you come here? Well, we just joined Black Card about a month ago, so going through all the videos, Academy, all the guys, we did a small syndication in oil and gas. Now we're looking at a large $20 million fund over the summer. Yeah. And just understanding how to get in front of the right people and, you know, learn how to structure it properly so we can scale it. Wow. Love it. Clap it up for Hal, everybody. That's awesome. On the next question, what are you willing to give the next 3 days to move that needle faster? Just all the time and effort to meet as many people as we can here, get in front of people. I want to meet the mentors. I want to meet the people that know what they're doing and see who can help us do it the right way. So meet good people in the room and then also meet some mentors, people in the space that are doing this right now. Spend time with you. I was thinking, how am I going to get Bridger somewhere and talk to him? Just take my phone number. Here we go. We'll talk. No, we'll talk, right? We're already talking. There you go. You're already working out. You already manifested it. Here it is. It's manifesting in real life. That's amazing. Who else in this room is doing oil and gas? Anybody? Stand up. Where's Mark Elliott? I'm looking for you, Mark. Stand up, oil and gas people. Oil and gas people, stand up for a second. Where are we at? Okay, make eye contact with these people. Okay, oil and gas people, make— kind of wave at each other. I want to make sure you know each other's faces so after you guys can talk and meet one another. That's pretty cool. Howie, welcome. Welcome to Black Card. Good to have you here. Thank you for what you're doing. Clap it up for Howie, everybody. I love it. Thank you so much.
Let me grab that from you.
Thank you. All right, let's keep— I'm gonna keep walking this way. Oh, let's grab maybe a couple more people here. I'm gonna come— I'm gonna sneak over here. Right here. You cool with sharing? I will try. I'm just picking people out this year. Usually I ask people. Can you tell us your name? Joe Milo. Joe, good to have you. Where are you from? I'm from South Florida as well. Geez, South Florida today. Clap it up for South Florida. I hear it's yes. I have been. I've been to Florida every month this year so far. I'm coming back next month and in June. Well, welcome. I should just move. I should get a place here or something. I don't know. Should. What part of South Florida? Port St. Lucie. Say it again. Port St. Lucie. Port St. Lucie. Yep. I like it. Okay. I want to make sure I said that right. Port St. Lucie. Yeah. Lucia or just Lucie? Just Lucy. Lucy. Now the locals say it. Lucy. Lucy. Lucy. All right. I want to make sure— I don't want to say things wrong in Florida. You know, you can get things crazy. Things can happen. All right, Joe. So tell us about why did you come to Finance Live? What's your intention being here? I do syndication, private equity funding right now, real estate funding. So trying to expand on that, turn it into a fund. So give me a sense of the real estate you're doing right now. Commercial real estate, residential, anything real estate, just about. Do construction. I do purchasing condos, single-family warehouses. Wow. So a lot. Pretty much anything in real estate. And where— what markets are you in? The whole state of Florida and Georgia. Okay. Florida and Georgia. Yeah. Yeah. In Georgia. I love it. And what are you willing to— oh, sorry. What was your intention to come? To just learn more? To learn and to help maybe raise some capital and network with people. Cool. So what are you willing to give over the next 3 days to achieve those goals? Again, my time and energy and effort and anything I can do to help anybody else. Yeah, I love it. I know a lot of you are doing a lot of time here to be here with us, so let's do the same thing. Anybody, uh, doing real estate in Florida or Georgia, stand up. I want to see y'all. We should have a lot. Florida, I think, is our biggest market of real estate. Look at this. Look at this room of just real estate in Florida and Georgia. Wow. Holy crap. Look at this. Half the room just stood up. Okay, we need to throw more events in Florida, I guess. You guys like it here. Uh, Okay, turn around, make some eye contact with each other. Actually do this. People doing multifamily, raise your hand. Okay, multifamily people. Residential, raise your hand. Okay, residential. And then maybe just more general commercial, raise your hand if it's warehouse, other stuff.
Okay.
Okay, you got some good people to meet tonight, by the way. You have— you guys will have a breakout session tonight. You guys will all be able to meet each other in the same room, which is kind of cool.
Clap it up for Joe, everybody.
Thank you, Joe. Thank you. Love it. Thank you. Yeah. All right, let's run back up here. Adam, I'll give you this mic. Oh, sorry, audio. The audio team's gonna yell at me after for walking in front of these mics.
All right, pretty cool.
We have a, we have a pretty incredible audience here. Um, I love meeting y'all. We'll do more of this, uh, in a little bit. Now, okay. Oh, it's incredible being here with y'all. The last thing I'm going to share before we're going to move on— our next speaker, by the way, is phenomenal, and I'll tee him up in just a second. There are people in this room that might be going through something in their life. Now, I know you guys are crushing over here. Nothing's wrong with your life. Like, you guys are killing it. But there might be somebody else that might be going through something in their life. Okay. Be mindful of those people. Be mindful. There's some people who might be going through a divorce right now, a huge lawsuit, a breakup, a death. People in this room that are going through a lot. Be mindful of those people. And what we're doing here today is it's fun. We're gonna be making money, we're gonna be crushing it. But it's important what we do together to help one another. And I think— let me go to my slides here again. I believe we have a moral obligation to help one another out. This is a picture of— I'll skip through here. This is my beautiful family. It's my wife Lauren and our son. And this is my Lambo. This is my Rolex. This is my flex. Okay? It's the biggest flex I have in life is my family. And we're going to keep growing that. And it's amazing. And what we're doing again impacts everyone in this room together. Okay. Now I want to just tee up our next speaker real quick. Our next speaker is Neil. He's just backstage right now. He's— we have a little intro video for him and stuff, but he's a phenomenal speaker. Going to dive in specifically back to the Funnel Launch Formula. If you can just pull my slides one more time for me. Sorry, team. On the MEGA framework, you can pull my slides back up. Thank you. He fits in just— this is how every speaker will work. They'll fit in somewhere in the MEGA framework. So he's got that big red star. That's where he fits in. He's going to be talking about how to raise capital. And actually, specifically, he's going to do it live for you on stage through automated systems. Anybody not like talking to people? Now, Neil's really good at talking to people, but doing automated systems to raise capital, it's actually very impressive what he's doing. He actually fits in specifically right here between how to get in the room and then connect with the room. Okay, so I'm excited for you guys to hear from Neil. We're going to bring, we're going to bring our MC back to the stage for a second. And we'll go from there. But thank you guys so much. You all are amazing. We're gonna have a fun time this next 3 days at Funnel Launch Live.
Yo, give it up for Bridger, everybody!
