We're going to announce a speaker speaking at Fund Launch Live. If you guys haven't heard about Fund Launch Live yet, we are doing a live event in Vegas, April 28th, 29th, and 30th. We're bringing together fund managers from all over the world to come talk about and teach about funds, capital raising, building decks, presenting, the whole 9 yards. So today I am announcing one of our speakers that is coming in. By the way, from now until the event, we're going to be dropping new speakers every single week. leading up to the event. It's going to be pretty darn fun. We actually, as of right now, below, if you guys want to see more details, there's a link below. You guys can see about Fund Launch Live. So today, without further ado, I'm going to bring on our guest, Mr. Vu Tran. Let's see if Vu's on here. Vu, you there? Can you hear me?
Hey, how's it going, Bridger? Good.
How you doing, Vu? Good to see you.
Good. I'm doing good.
Well, welcome on. We're, uh, so, oh man, my thing's all weird. I'm gonna go back a little. There we go. All right. So one of our speakers, Vu, is going to come on and speak. So if you guys don't know about Vu, I'll give a little pitch for you and then you can talk about yourself for a second. But Vu, I actually first met Vu inside of our group. So he actually, Vu is a member of Investment Fund Secrets, a member of Black Card. Vu came in and actually pitched me on his fund. It was one of my favorite pitches that I'd ever heard from one of our students. He absolutely crushed it. And then I asked, I kind of followed up and I said, Vu, like, you're pretty good at this. Like, what have you done in the past? And he said, oh, well, I've done a lot of stuff in the military as far as pitching. I've raised capital before. I've done this whole thing before. And I go, oh, obviously. You're good at this. And Vu goes, actually, I have an 8-step framework that I use for pitching investors. And I said, wow, well, share more. And anyways, long story short, Vu taught this to me and some of our other students. Vu is now one of— he still runs his funds and other stuff. He volunteers some of his time to come help out other students in the Investment Fund Secrets community. And I thought, you know what? For Funnel Launch Live, it would be incredible to have Vu come and teach our people about this. So anyways, he does an incredible job. Vu, was that a pretty good background of you?
Yeah.
That was pretty good. Is that all right? You know?
No.
So give us the minute overview of you and what you talk about, all that kind of stuff.
Yeah. So, you know, Bridger and Lincoln and the group didn't know it. But, you know, I was pitching them this whole entire time because I've learned how to pitch and I've learned how to, you know, articulate myself for the last 10 years. And I see the same mistakes that people make. So, you know, when I was in the Marine Corps, I was in counterintelligence, human intelligence training, and I really learned how to pitch. It's really the same thing. You know, you're convincing somebody to give you information. It's the same way as building a relationship. It's the same way as finding your future husband or wife. It's the same way of raising money or finding deals. You're consistently always pitching yourself. And, you know, when I was speaking on stages for an entire year with people like, the same stages like Sharon Lechter and the coaches that actually coached Sharon Lechter, which was the co-writer of Rich Dad Poor Dad, And I actually met some of the people like Paul Hutchinson in the Bahamas, you know, a couple years ago. It's just a small world, you know, and people that want to be in self-development. And I think, you know, Fun Launch Live is going to be fun. And honestly, I think that Bridger's pricing it way too low for the caliber of people that are actually going to be there. So I think it's an incredible deal. But yeah, just teaching people about the 8 steps, and it's really 9 disciplines that you really learn, and, uh, you know, about seeding and Telling people why you're actually talking to them. You know, we recruited close to 60 people from my restaurant and like within a 3-week timeframe before we were opening. That's how I've been able to recruit people in the mortgage company or, you know, find people to actually come work with me or raise money. So the same type of framework when it comes to pitching is the same way that you should be articulating yourself in your emails and your letters and the way that you build your relationships. So elevating your status and doing a lot of things and I can't wait to just kind of add value. And that's the reason why I pitched Bridger and Lincoln and the crew about being a coach a long time ago. They didn't realize it, but I was pitching them since the beginning. I was seeding that idea because I know the value that I want to be able to add to the community.
Well, and it worked. So there you go. And Vu, you've been a huge value add. So yeah, for people that are just hopping on too, we are— Funnel Launch Live is happening. April 28th, 29th, and 30th. Vu will be one of the speakers at Fund Launch Live. Every week from now until then, we will be announcing new speakers. Already, even without— we haven't really done much promoting. We've already sold a third of our tickets. We have 1,000 seats. We've sold about 300. VIPs are almost gone. I think we only have like 40 VIP tickets left. Most people have bought the VIP. We have general admission and then we'll have— after that sells out, we'll just have virtual. But we will fill up and we have— and just so you guys know, we have about 10,000 students inside of IFS. 1,000 is anyways, is going to be pretty easy to fill. And we want to bring a lot of value to you guys as well. So if you want to learn more, there's a link below for funlaunchlive.com if you want to get your tickets. Vu will be there in person. Now, Vu, let's go a little bit deeper. You mentioned pitching. You mentioned, you know, you're always in this realm of trying to convince people and to sway or persuade people. A lot of people have a negative connotation about being a salesperson or pitching. What would you say to somebody that's like, I don't, I don't want to be that type of person. I don't want to pitch somebody. What would you say to that person?
Well, there's a lot of fundamentals that I've learned in life, and I think that when you're trying to hide your information or you're not trying to inspire people— because, you know, one of the big things that I really believe in is entrepreneurship and leadership development— and when you're giving people the things that you're doing in life, you're inspiring them. So you're being selfish because you're trying to be humble, but really what you're doing is that you're hiding all the secrets that other people could be inspired by. And I think like me going to a lot of these events has changed my life. It's because everybody has the same type of mindset and everybody's just positive. And I think Funnel Launch Live is going to be something completely different. I know we're going to be racing some supercars out there and doing some fun things. I'm excited to actually meet a bunch of people. But don't have that negative connotation because you got to think that you're the doctor and there's something wrong with them and you're trying to provide value. So, you know, I used to be scared of going on stages and I used to be scared of, you know, talking about myself because I didn't want to seem like I was stroking my ego. But you're not stroking your ego when you're doing it in a selfless way because you genuinely want to help people. And I think a lot of people within this group, when they're creating these funds, they really want to help people, you know, generate wealth, you know, be part of these projects that they can't, you know, having— like the last student I talked to and talked about ICOs, right, initial coin offerings. in the crypto space, or talking to people when it comes to venture capital or private equity and buying businesses, or, you know, buying real estate. So there's a lot of different perspectives in it, and a lot of people aren't educated. And I think that Bridger and his team did an incredible job creating this community and teaching people about private equity, where you have these fund managers that are making like $2 billion salary a year. Right. So just, you know, come join us. And I, you know, you should always share on what you do because that's what we're doing. And it's coming from a good place. It's not about sitting there and stroking your ego. So pitch.
Yeah, I 100% agree. I think, you know, true. And I tell people this all the time. If you're trying to like pull people into your fund or really drag them in, like you're not, you're not doing the right thing. When you pitch your fund, and this should be anything in general, it truly, you should believe to the core Man, I'm really helping this person. Like if they invest in my fund, this will change their life financially. This will help their family and their kids and their great-grandkids. Right? That's, and you should feel so confident about what you're sharing that, you know, it just exudes out of you. And that's what, back to the event, I'm a true believer in events. Last year, I think I went to 6 or 7 in-person events. I 100% believe in getting around people that are smarter than me that want to educate something. I went to Funnel Hacking Live, Tony Robbins. I went to 3 mastermind group events for one group, 2 others for another. I went to a mastermind group in Miami twice. Anyways, I am a true believer in it. And the second piece of that is immersion. I totally believe in immersion. You can watch some YouTube videos or whatever, but when you show up somewhere live and you've traveled to be there and you're around another 1,000 people that are just like you and are at the same thing, there's a magic that happens. And usually ideas. And it feels like pen hits paper and I start making moves in my business way faster than I would have done over 3 or 4 months of watching, you know, other content, other places. Just when you squeeze into a weekend, it's incredible what happens and how much immersion when you go deep, what you can do. And so we wanted to create an experience for you guys like that at Fund Launch Live 2022. So that's the plan. Just so you guys know as well, I am very picky about events. I like to go to events. I'm an event junkie. I would call myself. I spend a lot of money on events. And I'm very particular about who speaks, how they speak, stage design, how it's presented, the ebbs and flows of events. So I'm going to— I will guarantee you this event will not be boring. It will not be one of those drawn-on conferences that you want to die from. This is going to be high energy. It's designed a certain way to help maximize education, to help you understand how things are going. Breaks are Format in a certain way. I'm all about event design and making it an incredible experience, and we hope to knock people's socks off for this first event. Next year, we'll do a bigger one, a bigger one. We'll keep going this for the for the time being. So, and then it all comes down to great speakers. That's why we wanted to invite Vu to come and speak. He's got an incredible background, incredible knowledge, and he's a great speaker as well. So we're excited to have him. It's gonna be pretty fun.
Yes, I think it's gonna be a fun time too. And you know, Lincoln's a pretty good. poker player. So, you know, you guys should hop on the table and try to take his money.
Yeah. Our last event in Snowbird, dude, we do a poker tournament. There's like 150 people. We're all playing. And I'm like, yeah, Lincoln, you can play. I didn't play because I don't want to, you know, take everyone's money. And it was a charity poker night. So we spotted everybody their chips. They weren't like actually gambling their own money. But Lincoln won the whole tournament. And I was like, Lincoln, you can't win. Like what the heck? Anyways, he won. Took everybody to— he won like an iPad and all these other gifts we had given out. It was pretty, uh, it was pretty funny. So anyways, we've actually— and then we had a company party last week and Lincoln won like all these. He won the iPhone, he won all— anyways, we're gonna probably ban him from playing at other stuff, uh, anytime we do it. He just wins at everything. So all right, you guys, Funnel Launch Live tickets are below in the link, funnellaunchlive.com. If you haven't got tickets yet, we are about a third sold out. Uh, VIPs, I think we only have like 40 left of VIPs. Those are almost sold out. It is first come, first serve on tickets. We will be promoting this every single week leading up to the event. It's going to be pretty darn fun. Any last words, Vu, before we hop off?
Yeah. So I want to kind of say something on what my mentor said to me once was, how much and how long is it going to take you to figure it out yourself? So be around people that already have that formula for success and just take the shortcut. You know, look at what you could find shortcuts from. And I think Investment Fund Secrets is such a great community. where people leverage on each other and we're all learning. You know, me and Bridger are still students ourselves. I'm still learning how to pitch and I'm still learning more and more about funds because there's just so much to learn. So be humble enough to learn. Come join us at the event. You know, come join the Facebook page if you haven't yet and honestly connect with us. And I can't wait to, you know, have this year one of our most memorable years, Bridger.
Yeah, it's going to be fun. I know. I totally agree with that. Ever since starting, especially like doing our group, I invest probably over, every year over 6 figures a year in personal education. Every year. I got to continue to sharpen the axe. I got to learn new things. I got to learn. I'm not— anyways, there's always stuff to learn. I think events is a great way to do it. Mastermind groups, coaching programs. There's a ton of different ways to get to the same result. And that's the— I think 100% I agree, Vu. That's what you got to do. So, all right, you guys, we're going to hop off. Funnel Launch Live, click the link below. Vu, thank you so much. We're going to see Vu live in Las Vegas, April 28th, 29th, and 30th. You guys can come hear Vu live talk about his 8 steps, really 9 steps of capitalizing the psychology behind a pitch deck, the psychology behind selling, the psychology behind building, you know, hiring 60 people and leading that team and getting them onto a same vision. Vu's going to be talking about all that at Funnel Launch Live. So click that link below and we'll see you guys later. Vu, thank you so much for hopping on. We'll see you in April.
Okay. Bye.
See ya.
