Bridger Pennington shares how he gets people to remember him at events by asking questions that make others talk about themselves, then dropping credentials as conversation hooks. He runs two investment funds managing $50M, has 100,000 students in Fund Launch, and 400,000 social media followers.
When I go to events, we meet, I'm going to talk about you the whole time. People love to talk about themselves. So I'm going to get you talking about yourself as much as I can. Eventually though, people ask you about you. I go, hey, I'm Bridger. Yeah, I run 2 investment funds right now. We manage about $50 million and then we have about 100,000 students in Fund Launch. We got a decent social media, you know, 400,000 social media followers. So we help people online do that kind of stuff. Well, tell me about you again. I've just dropped like 4 hooks. I run funds, I've raised capital, I have 100,000 students. But I'm like, hey, I don't want to talk about me. Tell me about you. A lot of times they'll go, no, no, hold on, double-click on that for me.
