I was watching a video from a billionaire and he said the one book that changed his life was this book called The Happiness Advantage. So naturally, billionaire tells me to do something, I'm gonna do it. So I downloaded the book, read the book, and one key piece stood out to me this morning while I was listening to it. It talks about 3 different motivations behind employees and people in the workplace. Number 1, people see it as a job. I show up, do my job. Number 2, people see this as a career. Number 3, the people that were most effective saw their work as a calling, that they were called to do something. Those people were also happiest in their workplace, found fulfillment. and had great relationships with other people around them as well. In the book, it shares even if you're cleaning the floors as a janitor, if you can find a calling in that, you're helping make the world a better place, it brings increased satisfaction and overall happiness to your life and to your work.
