JPMorgan Chase paid pennies on the dollar for this First Republic Bank acquisition. Look at this. How many? $173 billion of loans, $30 billion of securities and assets. CBS News right here, they paid $10.6 billion for $185 billion of assets. And on their press release, they didn't assume any of their corporate debt. They bought this thing for literally less than 10 cents on the dollar. I mean, it's just crazy that no one else stepped up to bid and JPMorgan Chase keeps winning on all these bank failures. It just makes me think there's something else going on behind the scenes. I can't put my nose on it, but JPMorgan Chase keeps winning and winning and winning with all these rate hikes, with all these banks failing, with deposits leaving. It's pretty interesting.
