Bridger Pennington built Funnel Launch to $1 million in revenue in six months, then $1.8 million in a year. He calls it an overnight success but says people's reactions split between admiration and resentment, like crabs pulling each other down. A second voice argues for the safer bet of a regular job instead.
I remember our first year with Funnel Launch specifically, we did $1 million our first 6 months. So, from Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving, we had made about $1.8 million. The previous Thanksgiving, it was like— It's not legitimate.
It's not right. I would be safe. I would just go the safe route and get a W-2 job.
And overnight, we were an overnight success, multimillion-dollar business. And we come to Thanksgiving, wow, you know, you guys are really taking off. And still at that point, by the way, people will still be a little resentful. Yeah, it's not going to last though. Sounds really risky what you're doing. 'Cause people, number one, they want you to become more like them. But once you have more success than them, it's interesting that people will— it's like the crabs in the bucket, right? They'll pull you back.
