Bridger Pennington explains Trump's tariff strategy through concrete examples: Canada's dairy tariffs, the EU's 10% auto tariff versus America's 2.5%, and China's barriers. He argues the short-term market pain could pay off long-term if tariffs force repricing and level the playing field.

What are one of the main reasons Trump's doing tariffs? Well, Canada charges these tariffs on milk, cheese, and butter. If you go down to the European Union, they charge a 10% tariff on automobiles when we charge only a 2.5% tariff. Other agricultural products in Europe: sweet corn, beans, rice. You can see the tariff amounts right there. Here's the same thing in China. Trump wants to reset these. He says there's a period of transition in this economy, which has totally nuked the markets the last few weeks as people try to reprice this in. Personally, I do think this will work in the medium to long term, but in the short term, it is a lot of pain, a lot of pain in the stock market as we price in. What do you guys think?
