Bridger Pennington explains why he doesn't work or study on Sundays. He covers both religious reasons and mental health benefits of taking one full day off each week, and how the practice shapes his routine.
So growing up, I traditionally did not work on Sundays, do homework on Sundays. For pretty much my whole life and career, I've almost never studied on Sunday or worked on Sunday, even though I've woken up at— I woke up at 3 AM Monday morning to work, like, to catch up on stuff. There's religious, I think, benefits, but there's also very just mental benefits. I guess the Bible says too, like, the Sabbath was made for man to reset, and I think it's not healthy to work 7 days a week like crazy. I've liked continuing that practice. Even if I wasn't religious, I'd probably still continue that practice.
