No One is Talking About DEFLATION...

Bridger Pennington argues that technology is deflationary. VR cuts travel spending, self-driving trucks lower shipping costs. Most people miss how these advances actually reduce prices.

No one is talking about deflation. Yes, you hear on the news every day about inflation's rampant, but before inflation took off and they printed 40% of our money supply, deflation was one of the biggest things economists were worried about. Because right now we're at the crossroads of all these technologies booming across the world, and technology is deflationary. For example, instead of traveling to Disneyland, you decide to put on your VR headset and you have the same experience of being in Disneyland. Well, because of that, you didn't need to buy a plane ticket and book a hotel and rent a car. And that takes away from all those businesses and is deflationary towards them. Another example is self-driving trucks. With a self-driving truck, you can move goods from LA to New York and you don't have to pay a driver. And that truck doesn't have to sleep at night. It can drive 24/7 with a few battery changes. So I get the same materials from LA to New York in a faster time and for much cheaper. Again, technology is deflationary. Like and follow for more.
